Oct 31, 2011The big day! Whatever you choose to do (trick-or-treat, go to a party, or just chill) enjoy the night when spirits (possibly) roam the Earth!
- Carve your Jack-o-lantern
Oct 30, 2011It might be a good idea to carve it before Halloween itself, because you might be short on time. You probably should keep it inside, so squirrels can't get at it. Bake the extra pumpkin seeds for an appropriate snack.
- Last minute costume fixes
Oct 28, 2011Make sure you have the props you need and that your costume won't fall apart when you walk. If you want to, reveal it to a few people to find out what they think.
- Take a walk and look at other people's decorations
Oct 25, 2011An easy and fun way to see how other people are getting ready. You might see some elaborate haunted houses. If the night is dark and spooky, the effect gets even better.
- Watch The Nightmare Before Christmas
Oct 22, 2011A fantastic Halloween movie that isn't too scary and has a great soundtrack. if you like it, you can watch it for christmas, too!
- Pick out a pumpkin
Oct 20, 2011You'll need one (or two or three) and it's a good idea to buy them early enough so you're not left with old, mushy, and oddly shaped ones. (unless, of course, you like those). You can go to a pumkin patch, or for something easier go to a farmer's market or grocery store. If you grew you own, you can pick themat your convinence.
- Visit a Haunted House
Oct 18, 2011Good scary fun. Look on rbclarion for a guide to nearby haunted houses.
- Pull out your decorations
Oct 16, 2011Whether it's fake pumpkins or scarecrows or giant blow-up ghosts, you should display them. Get them up early enough so they can be seen and help you get into the holiday spirit!
- Buy Candy
Oct 15, 2011You know people will come trick-or-treating, so make sure you're stocked up on sweets. If you buy them early, you'll be more likely to get the good stuff. (after all, there will probably be leftovers)
- Begin creating a costume
Oct 12, 2011By now, you ought to have an idea. Now it's time to create a plan and start looking for materials. Resale stores are a good place to look for clothes you can mess with. And, if you have a costume bin in your basement, that could help.
- Watch some Scooby-Doo
Oct 10, 2011Besides being s fun show, it's full of people in creepy costumes. Rappy Ralloween!
- Read a book of ghost stories
Oct 6, 2011Wheather you prefer them fun or bloodcurdling, reading ghost stories will put you in the right mood. Or get together with some friends and create your own.
- Start thinking of a costume idea
Oct 5, 2011Whether you're going trick-or-treating or to a party, or you just want to dress up for yourself, you'll need an idea. Look to your favorite books, movies, or TV shows for ideas, or go as your favorite animal. Oh, and don't worry if you think no one will know what you are. That's part of the fun!
