Dear Romanchuk Associate: With yet another year at our doorstep, this hallowed tradition continues – with something new and something old. As we make our way back up to “The Cabin” and the woods of Northwest Wisconsin the excitement builds as Team Mike prepares to do battle with Team Alex. We are just 18 days away from having some BIG fun – like we always do. As mentioned above we are offering some new twists to this year’s extravaganza – the Thursday Pro Am will be contested at Siren National – one heck of a test, even if it is for just fun. Friday will find us at our usual haunts – the double cut fairways of Spooner National, can you spell “Fish Fry”? I can taste the broiled fish, cole slaw and red potatoes now, along with a few vodka tonics – yes, men, life is good. As fate will have it, we will be going back to where this all started – the demanding, grueling Voyager Village Golf Club

Dear Romanchuk Associate: We are heading back to where the tradition began, some 25 years ago. This year will be heading back to “The Cabin” to rehash the old traditions and begin some new ones. Yes, we are staying at the World Headquarters in Webb Lake, WI. See yourself standing on # 9 dreaming of hitting the green in one or standing on #18, looking down the double cut fairway, knowing you are 15 minutes from a nice cold one!! Get your game in shape and let’s get ready to rumble. The beer cart ladies and Fish Fry at Spooner Golf and the peaceful booze cruises await. Mark your calendars for this year's extravaganza! Looks like we have Galen back on the wagon, which is always good for some hearty laughs. Thursday, July 10 through Sunday July 13!!!
These are the winners of the 2007 Family Tourney. This year the event was held in San Jose, California. Next year we return to Spooner Country Club, Wisconsin. Winners are: Dave Romanchuk Rod Romanchuk, Dave Pulkrabek, Jamie Cortez
Dear Romanchuk Associate: After a two-year hiatus, the tradition will continue for another year. This year we are taking a slight twist as we head west to the beautiful Bay Area. Our tradition will take on a new venue and it is almost guaranteed that we won’t see a cloud nor mosquito the whole time you are in California. This year’s tournament will be held at Romanchuk Open World Headquarters – West in San Jose, CA. Some old traditions will remain, some will not be possible but new ones will be created. We won’t be able to go to What the Heck or Romers, nor drink Grain Belt, but we will be able to taste the sweet nectar of Peach Schnapps’, have some wonderful tasting B - B - Q, while enjoying the usual Romanchuk Open banter. We are also building some time in to do some sightseeing – we plan to visit spectacular Monterrey Peninsula and Pebble Beach Golf Club. Begin to save some money, as you may want to buy a Pebble Beach golf shirt. Bring your cameras. Did I mention that cigars taste better out west!! Mark your calendars for this year's extravaganza! Thursday, July 5 through Sunday, July 8
Romanchuk Open World Headquarters Webb Lake, WI. Dear Romanchuk Associate: And what a weekend it was, the greatest golf tradition continues to deliver fun and frolic to the Upper Midwest. Between “Clean Sheets” Thursday night “episode” and Myles’ blistering 73 on Championship Saturday, the 2004 Romanchuk will best be remembered as the “Year of the Conway”. I suppose the best place to start is to talk about the golf. The Yellow Team jumped out to a big lead on Friday by taking a 17 point lead. Myles was impressive by posting a 76 and scoring 47 points for the Yellow Team. Knowing that our handicap system was off, we adjusted the scoring for Saturday by having Steve’s score calculated with the Senior Circuit. This was exactly what was needed to make the match competitive. The Blue Team roared back with Jeff leading the charge by posting a 76, good enough for 46 points. Jeff’s hot hand allowed the Blue Team to get within 5 points with three remaining holes. But, in the end, the Yellow Team prevailed. Mike’s long par putts, Myles 73, Galen’s consistent play, and Dave’s strong Saturday were just too much. The Yellow Team earned a hard fought 7 point win.
Dear Romanchuk Associate: The tradition keeps going. This year will be hosted, as tradition has it, at the World Headquarters in Webb Lake, WI. I can taste the fried fish, cole slaw and beers at Spooner already!! Mark your calendars for this year's extravaganza! Wednesday, July 10 through Sunday July 14 !!!
This is our first year of the Open. Our host was Mike Romanchuk.
