The importance of this game was the fact that it was the first game that took me longer than a month to defeat. I will never forget it, trying to find the last whistle was a pain. Didn't even know there was another to get. The design perspective that made it fun was the fact that you could walk around and still go into buildings. Being able to walk around and destroy people to build your health before going into a castle to try and defeat a Boss made it fun. You didn't have to rely on just what you had. You could aways rebuild it by visiting the fairy or defeating those who walked around. Also the fact that every time you defeated a boss your power bar would go up made it even more fun to play. Giving you more health made you wonder how hard the next boss would be.
This was important to me because it was the first game I ever played on the Sega Genesis. The game perspective of this game , I thought were awesome at the time. The way the hedgehogs hair would blow in the wind to show his speed. The way you could roll through certain obstacles to gain more points. To me it was an awesome with a cool character. I think it made every kid want to play it.
This was introduced to me on my birthday. My Father had got it for me as a birthday present. It was important to me because my Father and I would play it together. What made the game even funner is when we would both play until my mother would say that was enough. Being after midnight almost everyday since I got the game on weekend because of school. In a design perspective it was at the time the most challenging game I had ever played. Being more challenging I wanted to play it more. With only being shot once and dying, made it more fun to see how far we could get.
This was the first time I got the NES. It was a gift from Santa. It was important to me because it was the first game I had ever played on the NES, not to mention the first game console that belonged to me not the entire family. In a design perspective, I like the different creatures that you had to defeat. The graphics at the time were awesome. The details of the characters made it funner because it made you wonder what the next guy would look like.
I was introduced to this game when the family had went to Pizza Hut for dinner. Every chance we got to eat out I would suggest Pizza Hut, So I could play it. It was important to me because it was the first game I saw my mother play. The game was fun because there were enemies you had to avoid by going around a maze like area, not just left to right.
