Windows OS has no followers yet. Be the first one to
Windows 7 released. Windows 7 tackles user friendliness, from the organized tabs, to the snap feature. It creates the futuristic looking computer that we all think about.
Windows vista introduced a whole new look to operating systems. It created user friendliness, and a more personal look. On top of that it bumped up computer security.
Windows XP reign started. The best running, smoothest, fastest, and most reliable operating system ever. XP was so good that many business today still use it!
Windows ME was all about home use, from videos and pictures, to music. It also introduced the useful system restore feature.
Windows 2000 introduced. Improved reliability, ease of use, and mobility.
Windows 98 introduced. Specifically made for consumers, getting more at the playing aspect of computers.
Windows 1995 introduced. Includes a new start button, and runs the newly created internet with all sorts of games.
New operating system geared towards businesses and scientific/engineering programs.
Windows 3 introduced. Much more advanced graphics with 16 colors. Includes program manager, file manager, and printer manager. Runs noticeably faster.
Windows 2.0 shipped. Includes desktop icons, larger memory, and better graphics.
Windows 1.0 was shipped out. Instead of using commands as in MS-DOS, you could now use a mouse to navigate through windows.
First operating system, MS-DOS created in collaboration with IBM. Features new language, including the command prompt.
Bill Gates and Paul Allen create the company Microsoft.
