  President Lincoln made a speech about the war. He trys to acheive peace.

  Document signed by Abraham Lincoln that freed slaves in the south.

  Union wanted to prevent confederate trading. There were a total of 4 Union ships.

• Battle of Fort Sumter

  This battle officially started the civil war. A huge bombardment happened at the fort.

• Texas Secession Convention

  This convention decided to secede Texas from the Union. A majority of the convention voted were for Secession.
