They were the first indians to settle in Ontairo Canada. 8,000 Alqonquin indians live in Canada today. They get mistaked as the Mohak. The Mohak means "Barkeater" . Ontairo, Canada became in the possesstion of the Britsh. They have been in possesstion since 1763. They have tryed to be in possesstion on all of Canada. They governed their self. The British victory in the French and Indian War brought forth a new territory: American land west of the Appalachian Mountains.
Iroquos drive the Hurins from their terriotory. Their terriotor is also known as Southern Otairo. They captured Eitenne Brule. Iroquis also known as the Haudenosaunee or the People of the Longhouse. in the 16th century or earlier they came together.
In 1610-1612 Etienne Brule explored Southern Canada. Traveled with Samuael de Champlain. They were the finders of Lake Ontairo. Eitienne Brule was a early French explorer. Lake Huron, Lake Ontario, Lake Superior, and Lake Erie. He was captured by the Iroquois Indians, but later escaped. In June of 1633, Brule was killed by the Hurons, and his corpse was eaten
