Funny moment in a game between the Atlanta Thrashers and Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday, January 28th, 2010 at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Though many remember only their 1967 hit "Happy Together," the Turtles were one of the more enjoyable American pop groups of the 1960s, moving from folk-rock inspired by the Byrds to a sparkling fusion of Zombies-inspired chamber-pop and straight-ahead good-time pop reminiscent of the Lovin' Spoonful, the whole infused with beautiful vocal harmonies courtesy of dual frontmen Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman. Though they hit number one in 1967 with the infectious "Happy Together," the Turtles scored only three more Top Ten hits and broke up by the end of the '60s. Kaylan and Volman later joined Frank Zappa's Mothers of Invention during the early '70s and also recorded themselves as Flo & Eddie, but were on the oldies circuit with a revamped Turtles by the mid-'80s.

So here we are, with another side project that isn't directly related to the original schedule for Season 2. Damnit, I'm so easily sidetracked... Everyone loves the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. If you don't, you're either racist towards turtles or just unable to accept the fact that they are full of everything awesome. They were so awesome that they had video games made for them. In particular, the arcade games were possibly the best of them all, including... TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES (1989) Beat 'Em Up action with up to four players, being able to choose your favorite turtle and walking the streets looking for some ninja ass to kick... oh yeah... that's the good stuff! For Xbox360 owners, this game was added to the Xbox Live Market not too long ago (I don't know exactly when, and quite frankly I don't care) and boy was I excited to hear it! This game made me so happy when I was a kid, so I had to take it for another ride and it hasn't lost it's charm at all in the time that it's been out. However, it gets better... Online support: Up to four players can play at once... ON-FREAKIN'-LINE!!!!! The game's online mode has a few challenging aspects to it that are different from the single player aspects, the main one being that you only have 20 lives per player. For anyone who's played this game, 20 lives is just barely enough to beat this game if you have no what you're doing, so you better hope you have a good team with you if you're planning on winning this badboy (they made it a god damned achievement, so you'd better hope I want to win it!) I got a group of us together and started kicking shell... and out of pure boredom, I also recorded it. I wanted to see what audio-recording from Xbox Live's Voice Chat feature would be like in recorded videos, but it doesn't look like it turned out that well when I brought it over... either way, I'll be getting the rest of these up sometime this week if I have time. Enjoy watching the massacre! (P.S.: To all the scholars out there, the title should give you an of how it ends. It's not meant to be a spoiler or anything, more of a "Guess who died first, second, third and last" and "Who was the top turtle?". Good luck with your guesses! You'll need it... ... oh, and yeah.
