In the simulation I lived to be 84 years old.
Standard of living means the level of material comfort as measured by goods, services and luxury. My standard of living in Madagascar is low because we are in the poor part of the country. Here are three things to show my standard of living 1) Had to downsize on house to save money 2) Had to get loan from family 3) Never gave money to charity because we couldn't afford it. Colonization has influenced this country because the more people the more difficult it is to find a good job and because education is lower.
GDP means the total of all final goods and services. The GDP in Madagascar is $1000. As a street vendor in Madagascar I am making less than that.
One difficulty I faced in my life was a famine. Famine is a food shortage. It is very common in Madagascar. This disaster impacted Madagascar because the country also suffered from a drought that caused a lot of the shortage. This country will have a hard time recovering because it is so poor and there still aren't very many resources.
One difficulty I faced in my life was contracting Schistosmiasis. Its a type of infection from a parasite. This is common in Madagascar because more than 1 million school aged children were treated for it in 2008. It impacts Madagascar because their drinking water is contaminated. They could prevent this by boiling their water before drinking it to get the germs/worms out.
Literacy rate means the amount of people in a given area with the ability to read and write. The literacy rate in Madagascar is 68.9. Something that happened in my "Real Life" that illustrates this education level is I got the choice to go to trade school.
My life expectancy in Madagascar is 62.26 years compared to 74.24 years in the United States. One reason for this is probably because there are more diseases in Africa than the U.S. Details about my life in Madagascar are 1) Our income was lower than the world average 2) We spoke Malagasly
The reason Madagascar became independent from France because of the adaption to the constitution. Despite being independent Madagascar is still influenced by France because they still influence the resources.
Citizens are exporting resources illegally to earn money. This happened because people were losing money and had no mining experience so they weren't allowed to mine. It's still ongoing because the government can't stop everyone that's involved. The Europeans did have an impact because they ruled that part of Africa. This conflict is classified as Resource Distribution Differences. It could be a negative net migration because some people may not want to be apart of illegal actions to gain money. It could be positive net migration because it may be a good way to gain money.
Before Europeans Madagascar was more populated. The French were interested in the area because of the resources.
