November 2 President George Bush signed Public law 101-162 which guarantees fund for reparation payments to the WW II internment survivors beginning in October of 1990
War Relocation Authority program officially terminates
Germany surrendersand ends the war in Europe.
A select few Japanese Americans are sent back to the West Coast.
Allied landing in France, World War II
Seattle internees are sent to temporary detention center at Puyallup fairgrounds, called Camp Harmony
President Roosevelt signs Executive Order 9066 which allows military authorities to move anyone from place to place without a hearing.
The Japansese bomb Pearl Harbor. Local Authorities start to round up Japenese American Communities.
John Dingell sends President Roosevelt a letter suggesting imprisoning 10,000 Japanese Americans to ensure "good behavior".
