I still remember it was summer afternoon in 1982/83 when I first watched this movie called 'Hum Dono' (1961). Even as a kid, liked the movie especially for its good music (this song in particular and 'Abhi Na Jao Chhod Kar', though all others were good too) and Dev Anand as Army Major. This song was my favourite even earlier when the radio was the king. In the hindsight, this movie motivated me to an extent like some the other Hindi war movies like 'Haqeeqat'. At the later stage, on pondering over the lyrics deliberately, it also connects with the philosophy of life. Sung by Mohd. Rafi in his signature style, music by Jaidev and lyrics by Sahir. Njoy
