Pelorus is the world's sixteenth largest luxury yacht at 377 feet 3 inches (115 metres) in length. It was built at the Lürssen yard in Bremen, Germany to the design of Tim Heywood and was launched in 2003. It was briefly owned by a Saudi businessman who sold it to Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich the following year. Abramovich had it refitted to his own requirements by Blohm & Voss. This included the addition of a second helicopter pad forward, four new zero-speed stabilizers and modifications to the exhaust, mast and stern. Le Grand Bleu came to Guernsey on the 9th October 2009. It is one of the largest private yachts in the world and was launched in 2000. It is powered by two 3600 hp Wartsila engines and was previously owned by John McCaw Jr an American businessman. It is 374ft long, it has a 74ft sailing yacht and a 67ft motor yacht on the main deck. It has four 20 tonne cranes to lift the sailing yacht and motor yacht in and out of the water. It had been in Yarmouth, Isle of Wight for a few weeks before coming to Guernsey. In Guernsey it had a top up of it's fuel tanks 100000 litres of diesel which cost £80000. After Guernsey it was off to the Azores. It did belong to Roman Abramovich but he gifted it to his accountant and friend Eugene Shvidler and because it was so large it had be moored where the ferries moor. It is almost the same size as the Commodore Clipper ferry.

I am becoming increasingly annoyed at foreign owners, like Abramovich, sacking managers when they have done bloody good! only 2 premiership defeats in 8 months, and a Champions League final. No way did he deserve to be sacked for that. At least another year he should have been given. I'm also worried about the evergrowing process of English managers never being given a chance at a top club, or not given any time in the job, if more foreign owners invade the premiership, as expected.
