Agathodaimon is symphonic death metal band from Germany. Agathodaimon is considered by popular beliefs to be a melodic black metal-band, but it is just due to some of black metal influences in the early career. Agathodaimon are always played just straightforward melodic death metal and nowadays they played Gothic metal-influenced symphonic death metal.
The band begun in late 1995, when drummer Matthias and guitarist Sathonys got together to assemble a dominant death metal band with harmonic arrangements (melodic death metal ). They put adverts at several music magazines in the hopes that they would find suitable musicians to play with them. In answer to the advertisement, they were joined by bassist Marko Thomas and keyboardist and vocalist Vlad Dracul. The last member of their initial formation was the second guitarist, Hyperion, who joined them by the end of that year.
