Aaahh!! Real Monsters is a platform arcade style video game released in 1995 for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. The player takes control of Ickis, Oblina, or Krumm in their attempt to pass the Monster Midterm Exam at Monster Academy. The player explores various locales collecting specific items and scaring specific people the Gromble instructs the player to.

Featured Game: Aaahh! Real Monsters! (Sega Genesis / Mega Drive) Hope ya'll are ready for a scare-tastic episode of Let's Play Again! Just in time for Halloween! :-D Let's Play Again is much like the other Let's Play shows in that we play through games providing our own commentary. Unlike most Let's Play shows, our theme consists strictly of Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) Games. That's right folks, we're going AZ (or more technically #-Z) through all of the Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) games and letting you know which ones you should break out again, and those that you should just leave on the shelf. Happy Halloween! Here's a look and some background information about the Back to Scare Nicktoons AAAHH!!! Real Monsters Action Figures by Mattel and Nickelodeon. well this is for all of the beautiful people in the world!! and as for the music all rights belong to Auburn and Alicia Keys and ther record companies.
This time, AAAHH!!! Real Monsters! I used to watch the cartoon of this on Cartoon Network. It was strange, and this game is no different. ~~~~~~~~ I'm going through hundreds of SNES games and trying them for 10-20 minutes each. I'm not keeping the game(s), I'm simply sampling them and deleting them immediately afterwards. I will, of course, buy any that I want to play fully.

Our Re-recorded Version of "Ahh..Real Monsters" which was taken a dubbed behind clips of our live performance on New Years Eve by a good friend. Many of you have been asking for a live video so we hope you enjoy!!! God Bless!!!!!!! Also please SUBSCRIBE!!! (Lyrics are conceptual keep in mind) The zombie horde is upon us We'll all be dead by the morning In the dark they surround us Left For Dead This is our final battle This is our final stand Against Satans army We shall not fail Within this darkness We are protected by the light Satans grasp on this world is is strong His sin is a disease that plagues us all infecting society These zombies are nothing but puppets who can be saved by only one Jesus christ alpha omega beginning and the end It's time for us soldiers in christ to stand up and fight for this world The war is waging The end is near Choose your side We took the concept of a zombie an individual who is diseased and not in their right mind and applied it to a spiritual basis. Take it in the context of Satan tempting us with worldly things (the disease) we then fall victim to it and conform to the world (becoming infected) then we begin not living our life for ourselves or more importantly God, but how the WORLD dictates (mindlessly following trends, false ideas, drugs, alcohol, sex, violence, ie not thinking for ourselves but becoming a "zombie") the only way to overcome this trouble is through Jesus Christ (the cure) our bridge to righteousness and God. No ...

www.longplays.net Played by RickyC Didn't throw much garbage at the start since I thought its limited but apprently it's not. I like the design of this the characters look like the cartoon versions and like how the other two remain behind you. Krum is pretty useless here though.

aaahh real monsters opening
For the 16th & 17th Levels, check my other video: www.youtube.com So, what do we get in this video: the final showdown against... the nerdy monster hunter with goggles that is similar, but a little bit more difficult than its SNES counterpart. Then, the monsters become real monsters (so brilliant, just like the title!) It really seems like the bad guy is shipping himself to Australia as we see him at the post office during the ending credits. Is that where he came from?Don't forget, if you have requests like for another video game walkthrough or something, just ask here or on my channel or even by sending me a message and if I can make it, there are good chances that I will.
For the 4th & 5th Levels, check my other video: www.youtube.com and for the 8th-10th Levels, check here: www.youtube.com So, what do we get in this video: we find out that old men working at the post office scream like the men they are when we scare the shit out of them (this might seem like a bizarre thing to say, but just hear their scream in the SNES version and you'll understand: www.youtube.com ) For some reason, they're all the same guy too.
For the 2nd & 3rd Levels, check my other video: www.youtube.com and for the 6th & 7th Levels, check here: www.youtube.com So, what do we get in this video: some real action as the monsters flush through the level to go scare some nerdy bookworm. Then, we get the first bonus game, which is like the other ones where you have to literally play a game of Breakout/Arkanoid with the monsters. We then get back to a level much like the first 2 before we can reach the post office. They return so often in the dumps because that's where they live.
I already have a walkthrough of the SNES version, see the first video of that one here: www.youtube.com VMKCheat wanted to see a walkthrough of the Sega Genesis version and here it is. For the current Genesis walkthrough's 2nd & 3rd Levels, check my other video: www.youtube.com It was not that hard to do since I already finished the game once on the SNES. Speaking of that version, the one on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, which we have here, is basically the same game as on the SNES, correcting some bugs and adding new ones, nothing can be perfect in this world, but there are also a variety of small changes here and there. There is only one type of bonus level this time around. There are slight modifications to the levels themselves, some were removed entirely while some levels or parts were added. Most boss fights feature some changes, but they are against the same guys. Overall, the Sega Genesis version is more difficult.Since I don't want to spend the rest of my life playing this game perfectly and I don't want to post videos where I die since it would be pointless for you to watch, I use an emulator to make a save state at the end of each completed level. Also, I use them a bit during the levels when I make enough progress or when the situation is critical, but not too much. Unless mentioned like here, I don't usually use save states during the levels, it's just that health doesn't regenerate between levels and they also tend to be long in this game. Don't forget, if ...
For the 20th Level, check my other video: www.youtube.com So, what do we get in this video: the final showdown against... the nerdy monster hunter with goggles that is also a complete wimp for a final boss. Then, the monsters become real monsters (so brilliant, just like the title!) It really seems like the bad guy is shipping himself to Australia as we see him at the post office with these final words: "I'll be back!" It sounds really good for a sample in an SNES game, but aren't those words property of Arnie?Don't forget, if you have requests like for another video game walkthrough or something, just ask here or on my channel or even by sending me a message and if I can make it, there are good chances that I will.
For the 17th & 18th Levels, check my other video: www.youtube.com and for the 20th Level, check here: www.youtube.com So, what do we get in this video: we find the master of all tubes (not YouTube), or whatever you call that thing in which the monsters roll as a means of transportation. It lasts for a good 17 seconds. Amazing! Then, we play a game of Breakout/Arkanoid with the monsters, literally...
For the 13th & 14th Levels, check my other video: www.youtube.com and for the 17th & 18th Levels, check here: www.youtube.com So, what do we get in this video: first, we go through a mall full of annoying kids, the toy tank controlling, water balloon throwing kind of annoying. To relax a bit, the next level is where we go to the movies, look out for lots of movie titles modified to include the word monster, I think they were trying to be funny with those...
For the 8th & 9th Levels, check my other video: www.youtube.com and for the 13th & 14th Levels, check here: www.youtube.com So, what do we get in this video: making my way through the good ol' junk, as usual, before getting into a museum. They must leave some stains on the floor after walking through mud and garbage, poor janitor. I guess it's okay since the place is later filled with tar...
For the 3rd & 4th Levels, check my other video: www.youtube.com and for the 6th & 7th Levels, check here: www.youtube.com So, what do we get in this video: some real action as the monsters flush through the level to go scare some nerdy bookworm. Also a bonus game where you become a real life monster basketball...
For the 2nd Level, check my other video: www.youtube.com and for the 5th Level, check here: www.youtube.com So, what do we get in this video: finally a new environment, an elementary school (I guess it's elementary school, I didn't really watch the show). Did the monsters often visit the school and scare students in daylight? Did the students dare to strike back at them with paper planes and slingshots? This is kinda confusing for me...
For the 1st Level, check my other video: www.youtube.com and for the 3rd & 4th Levels, check here: www.youtube.com So, what do we get in this video: we're still stuck in the same kind of filthy place as before and we have to find a new shoe. This is so much like the last level that it should be called Déja vu actually...

This is a look inspired off of the show Aaahh!!! Real Monsters for Xsparkage. I used the blue in the inner third of my eye to represent Krumms lips, I also used a peach toned blush for his skin tone. The Pink and Purple on the outer half of my eye is for Ickis and the red lip is for the same red lip Oblina has. I even switched out my lip ring for a black and white striped one considering Oblina is a black and white Candy Cane that shapeshifts I also wore a black and white striped scarf..thing. I also have a walkthrough of the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive version at VMKCheat's request, see the first video of that one here: www.youtube.com For the current SNES walkthrough's 2nd Level, check my other video: www.youtube.com Based on the show of the same name, this is an action platformer. I didn't really watch the show, so I can't compare with that, but I can say that it features cartoony graphics and all (also, since I can see them frame per frame with the original video files, I can see how well they're animated), especially for the characters. On the other hand, the same environments come out often and this kind of trashy environment in this video is just not fun to look at, even if that might've been the goal. The music too is not always good, but there are a few great tunes. While being playable, it's so full of problems that it can't be a good game. It lacks polish too. It can be a little bit of fun, but it's repetitive. Each character, or monster, has a unique team ability (OK, one of them is jumping higher, another is jumping further, so it's a little bit repetitive on that aspect too, the other one can play golf with one eye so that it's made possible to know what's around you). The level design is not good, you often find yourself not knowing where to go even if there are some indications scattered throughout the levels. Also, some traps as I would call them are really placed at badly chosen locations and you won't be able to avoid a lot of them, not knowing ...

This video was created using the Spore Creature Creator.
Using the free trial Spore Creature Creation tool to make Kromm from the "Aaahh!!! Real Monsters" Nickelodeon show. It probably could be better, but it was just a little quickie, done in 10 minutes or so on the trial version, which offers only a few customization options. The creation tool is surprisingly simple to use though, and I'll probably be buying Spore come September.
