A wonderful Cinco de Mayo 2010 El Nino spring evening it was. The neighborhood was w/ energetic festive pulsing music. Aroma of potlucks & sound of pinatas & fellowship had everyone enjoying beautiful approaching evening. Slowly folks trickled outta garden w/ a few stories to tell & tummies full of appetizing dishes, Tea Eggs more the unique & tasty offerings. Soon after a loud screeching boom permeated the atmosphere followed by the sound of disintegrating glass & screams. Unseen to us, hurriedly our Assistant Phillepe rushed toward gate dialing 911 & me not far behind. Almost as quick as accident happened at this vehicular wreckage prone intersection, the sirens of police & fire soon arrived rubber burning the pavement & scenting the air. Phillepe mentioned are there any gardeners from the potluck affected. Approaching the wreckage involving 4 cars I was stunned see an SUV w/ all four wheels in the air at rest in the west bound lane of Mission Rd & a sporty looking grey car that had a caved in front right passengers side & a sheared off bumper facing southerly on Granada that was supposedly trying to turn on Mission Rd easterly. Sure enough behind the yellow tape I had seen the professors car & gingerly made my way to his passengers side. He was still inside w/ his friend. I asked if OK? His friend replied back she was fine & got out of car & I hugged her to comfort. Poor professor was visibly shaken but not for long as he confirmed he wasn't injured & his car was w ...

Recuerdos de la Alhambra written by Francisco Tárrega in 1896. Home with the flu and it's -20C outside. Cold on the veranda while I lit the fire and played a song... hence, the goofy hat... ignore it please. 30 minutes later .... 40% of fire has been managed, well actually the structure are half way gone by now.
3 minutes later from the 1st file. actually no one dare to go near within 300 feet, the heat was so EXTREME.

This incident happened on NOVEMBER 18th 2008 on North 3RD Street, Alhambra, California. Main cross street is Main St. The fire has melted some cars and fire truck (partially). We heard big explosive too, after like few minutes of burning.
