Any plan for Piri Weepu to play for Wellington B this weekend ended when he damaged his ankle yesterday at a special All Black training camp. Weepu's place in the All Blacks squad for the next Bledisloe Cup test on August 22 is now in jeopardy after he twisted his left ankle late in the session at Waitakere Stadium. After some treatment from the medical staff, Weepu was assisted from the field in the only visible setback at the session. There were other difficulties, like the lack of lineout precision, but Weepu's injury was the most obvious concern. Weepu, Jimmy Cowan and Brendon Leonard are all vying for places in the touring squad of 26 which Graham Henry will reveal on Saturday night after checking the health of all those playing in the latest round of the national championship. The selectors have to juggle Weepu's injury worry with a few other uncertainties. They were probably sorting through the merits of five players they had to fit into two places. Henry will also have to monitor the fitness of disgruntled utility Cory Jane and prop Neemia Tialata who have been dispatched to Wellington B after coach Jamie Joseph refused to rearrange his top provincial combination to accommodate the All Blacks. Joseph has picked No 8 Rodney So'oialo on the bench against Bay of Plenty to cover a plague of loose forward injuries but he has refused to budge on the other All Blacks. That policy angered Jane, who did not get a start last week against Hawkes Bay and whose repeat omission ...

Full Sport videos at :www.FanTelly.com. It is the fall test season, and current the New Zealand All Blacks are on a tour of Europe. Tuesday night they made their way into Southern Ireland and found themselves in an hostile environment in Thomond Park in Limmerick where they would take on European powerhouse Munster RFC. The matched the 30th anniversary of when a Munster side took out the All Blacks, and became the first and only Irish side to beat the New Zealand team. Tuesday's match was meant to be a friendly between the two historic sides. As both team turned to many of their reserve players to carry the bulk of the minutes because the All Blacks were fresh off a tough match on Saturday where they took on Ireland and many of the Munster starters were members of that Irish side. Backups or not, Tuesday night's game was a special occasion. The atmosphere in Thomond Park is always loud, and everyone in attendance knew they were in for a special treat. However, the Park was ready to explode as both teams met at midfield field pregame in preparation for the All Blacks Haka. Munster, which now sports four of their own New Zealanders had a surprise for the visiting side. The four Munster imports stepped in front of their teammates and proceeded to perform the Haka, challenging the New Zealand side and letting them know this would not be a typical game. The crowd was electric as they watch the Munster players perform the ritual dance. Once they were finished the New Zealanders ...
At Sydney's Stadium Australia, in front of a world record 110000 thousand people, the Australian and New Zealand Rugby teams played what many have called "the greatest game of Rugby ever played". After just eight minutes the All Blacks were leading by an unbelievable 24 to 0. Miraculously, the Wallabies came back and were leading 35 to 34 when, in the dying moments of the game, the great All Black winger Jonah Lomu scored the winning try.

Josevata Taliga "Joe" Rokocoko (pronounced [rokoˈðoko], born 6 June 1983 in Nadi, Fiji) is a professional New Zealand rugby union player. Rokocoko is known for his speed and strength which has accounted for his incredible try strike rate. He is a specialist left-winger but has occasionally played on the right wing for New Zealand. Rokocoko played for the Blues in 2003. He made his first appearance for the All Blacks on 14 June 2003 against England. He has so far had a high strike rate for the All Blacks, scoring 25 tries in his first 20 tests, and breaking the All Blacks single-season record for test tries previously shared by Jonah Lomu and Christian Cullen—his 17 test tries scored in 2003 equals the world record held by Daisuke Ohata of Japan. The International Rugby Players' Association named him new player of the year in 2003. His incredible speed has been seen many a time through out his career. On 19 June 2004, in the All Blacks' second 2004 test with England, Rokocoko shredded the England defence for three tries in a 36-12 All Blacks victory over the reigning Rugby World Cup champions. Rokocoko made his NPC debut for Auckland in 2004. Rokocoko returned to the All Blacks line-up for the 2005 Tri Nations, punctuating his comeback with a two-try effort in the All Blacks' pivotal home fixture against South Africa. By the end of the 2006 season he had scored 35 tries in 39 test matches. To date he has scored 45 tries in 60 tests, including 4 hat-tricks in his career ...
Jonah Tali Lomu, MNZM (born 12 May 1975) is a New Zealand rugby union footballer who currently plays for Marseille. He had sixty-three caps as an All Black after debuting in 1994. He is generally regarded as the first true global superstar of rugby union. One of the sport's most intimidating players on the field,[1] he has had a huge impact on the game.[2] He was inducted to the International Rugby Hall of Fame on 9 October 2007.[3] Lomu burst onto the international rugby scene during the 1994 Hong Kong Sevens tournament and was widely acknowledged to be the top player at the 1995 World Cup in South Africa even though New Zealand lost the championship game to the host Springboks. At one time Lomu was considered 'rugby union's biggest drawcard',[4] swelling attendances at any match where he appeared. He has played for several provincial teams, in the Super Rugby and NPC competitions. These included the Auckland Blues, Waikato Chiefs and Wellington Hurricanes, and Counties Manukau, Wellington Lions and later North Harbour. He made a comeback after undergoing a kidney transplant in 2004. In 1996 he married South African Tanya Rutter; they officially divorced in 2000. He married Fiona Taylor in 2003 and divorced her in 2008. He is officially the Rugby World Cup all-time top try scorer with 15 tries.
