The finales are hear and it was a thriller. My favorite has always been Kris Allen from the small town of Conway Arkansas, and he was competing with Adam Lambert from San Diego. They are great friends and were roommates on American Idol. the date is 5/19/09 and the final results is 5/20/09. I want to wish both contestants good luck. Even though I favor Kris Allen I hope the best for Adam and his family and fans. Here is what they sang during the finals with judges remarks. My favorite songs were Heartless, Ain't no Sunshine, Too Make you Feel Your Love, Apologize and She Works Hard For the Money. Kris sang both of these songs Apologize and Heartless on 5/12/09. Kris took Kayne West's Heartless and played it acoustically on the show. He also sang One Republic's Apologize. Here are the studio version of both songs with photos from the show. Adam Lambert sang One and Crying and Danny Gokey sang You are so Beautiful and Dance Little Sister. They also showed the homecoming videos of Kris going home to Conway Arkansas which is outside of Little Rock, and Danny went to Milwaukee Wisconsin, his home town. Adam went home to San Diego. It was really emotional and great to see their hometowns come out for them. Recently Vote for Worst or VFTW has picked Kris as their pick, but it was a close call. because both Adam and Kris are great and have a fan base called Kradam or Kram. Kris is the underdog and darkhorse in the competition. Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Kara Diogaurdi and Paula Abdul picked a Danny vs Adam finale but Kris has beaten the odds and is now in the finals.
