Annular eclipse , as seen from Hollywood .California, on 20 May 2012, The footage is a time lapse movie. Obtained from 240 individual still photos, shot over 79 minutes. Each image was manually cropped in a way to keep the sun and the moon in the center of the image, just the cropping took more than 5 hours...(well, there is no app for that...) The original captured photos were shot at 18 megapixels each, with a 200 mm lens at f 22. The initial setup with a sandwich of an ND filter plus a polarised filter was way to light, way over exposed so I had to improvise ghetto/McGeiver style smoking an old UV filter (yes, old style wax candle).That's the reason behind the variations in color and exposure. The score is a remixed fragment from a royalty free song. The composer is credited at the end of the video.Enjoy !

Location: about 85 miles north of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Part of the video, near the beginning, has been speeded up 400%. The image bounces around because I do not have a real tripod. Chickens came to watch with me.
