www.investinourkids.com Vote Yes on Propositions 401 & 402 on November 3rd, 2009. Arizona has now fallen to 50th in the nation in education spending, and state budget cuts are only making the problem worse. It's time to invest in our kids. Invest in our community. Vote yes on propositions 401 and 403.
This was a nationwide protest which was sponsored by Join the Impact and held on Saturday, November 15th, 2008. The nationwide protest was formed to combat propositions 2 (Florida), 8 (California), 102 (Arizona) and the anti-gay adoption bill in Arkansas. This particular protest was held at Phoenix City Hall for most of the morning and then we all marched to the Arizona State Capital. Gay marriage is a civil rights issue, not a religion issue. Proposition 8 took away an existing rights from the GLBT community in California. It is totally wrong and unconstitutional to take away existing rights from a group of people. Proposition 102 was put on the ballot in Arizona by the unethical actions of the republicans in the state senate. It is totally disgusting on what the republicans did. They forever tarnished the image of the Arizona State Senate. Here is Join the Impact website: jointheimpact.wetpaint.com Here is a YouTube video showing what had happened in the AZ Senate: www.youtube.com You can clearly hear couple of the senators saying "Point to Order, Point to Order" in the video. You can see that some of the senators break their own rules in order to put 102 on the ballot. That right there is very unethical. You can view the same photos in high quality on my Flickr's page at: flickr.com Music Credit: Speed Or Armour (The Los Dos Bros); I added the music via the AudioSwap feature that YouTube provides.

Las Vegas, NV - November 15, 2008, was the date scheduled for a nationwide rally against the passing of California's Prop 8, along with other various glbt-discriminatory amendments, propositions and acts in Florida, Arizona and Arkansas. These passings marked a huge step back in civil rights. The inherent human need to love, paired with the hateful, fearful and ignorant legislative movements is more than an issue of the states at hand. American citizens have been stripped of their rights as both citizens and human beings. We will not lay down, nor turn our cheeks, nor stay silent! This video is to educate as well as celebrate what WILL come. The Las Vegas rally was not held at City Hall and it was not at the same time as the other peaceful protests across the nation. We met at the LGBT Center of Southern Nevada and demonstrated along the sidewalks of Sahara and Commercial Center. Regretfully, I couldn't capture everyone's speeches. Those shown in this video include (in order of appearance): -Candice Nichols -I didn't catch the name (sorry!), but she's a member of Las Vegas' Northwest Community Church. If you know the name, please tell me! :] -Wanda Sykes -Angela Harvey PS This is my third attempt at uploading this tonight. Please join the "Love Not H8" YouTube Group! www.youtube.com
Today I attended the rally against Prop 8 and other propositions passed in Florida, Arkansas and Arizona. Rallies were held all over the country and in some other countries. This is the New York City event. Go check out Junior's (David) channel: www.youtube.com
Comments by Supervisor Richard Elías following a rally by Howard Dean. November 3, 2008, Tucson, AZ Note: I confused two ballot propositions having to do with real estate, I said 201 when I meant 100.

When I saw this ad on local TV, I was surprised it wasn't on YouTube. I contacted the group who produced it and they sent me a copy. Enjoy.
