The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication to reduce arterial plaque in subjects with carotid atherosclerosis. A state-of-the-art 3T MRI scan will be provided to participants that qualify. This study is approximately 6 months long with 11 visits.
