Rico Interview Grady Hospital Tragedy visited "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" when an ex-fiancé of a star of the reality show was killed in a fight outside his Georgia strip club. Kandi Burruss, the newest member of the hit Bravo show, posted on her Twitter page about Ashley (AJ) Jewell's death and asked for prayers for his six children. "I could never in a million years imagine this happening," posted Burruss, a former member of the R&B group Xscape. "im just in one of those moods where i dont wanna talk," she posted early this morning. "i dont wanna b held & told its gonna b ok. i just wanna cry myself 2 sleep, alone," she wrote. Jewell, who made several appearances with Burruss on the show, suffered massive head injuries during a fight late Friday outside the Body Tap Club in Atlanta, according to police. Police arrested Fredrick Richardson hours later and charged him with voluntary manslaughter, officials said. Witnesses told Atlanta police Jewell fought with Richardson outside the skin palace. Richardson also was injured in the fight but will be charged once he is released from Grady Memorial Hospital. A spokesman for the Atlanta cops said it was not clear what prompted the brawl. "I adored AJ [and] he will definitely be missed," Housewives castmate Kim Zolciak told the Atlanta Journal Constitution. AJ Jewell, Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Kandi Burusss former fiancee (he was featured prominently in last nights episode) was fatally injured tonight. According to news reports, he suffered a severe head injury after being involved in a fight, was taken to the hospital and died. Kandis rep has confirmed the news. Kandis engagement to AJ was a major source of conflict between her and her mother, especially because AJ had six children. As of a few months ago, Kandi announced she had called the engagement off. ATLANTA -- Kandi Burruss, the newest cast member of the hit reality show, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, is coping with the tragic death of her fiancé, Ashley AJ Jewell, who appeared regularly on the show. Burruss' publicist, Lisa Nelson, confirmed to WSBTV.com reporter Brian Johnson that the incident has left the Atlanta "housewife" stunned and speechless. Nelson, who represented Burruss during the taping of the show, said the family is asking for privacy during this very difficult time. Burruss, an award-winning singer-songwriter and former member of the 90s R&B group Xscape, has had numerous disagreements with her mother on the show regarding her relationship with Jewell. Atlanta police told Channel 2 Action News that Jewell received a severe head injury during a fight at The Body Tap Club in the 1200 block of Marietta Boulevard in Atlanta. "It appears he was involved in an altercation in the parking lot and he received a severe blow to the head," said Atlanta Police Lt. Keith Meadows. Meadows said Jewell was taken to Piedmont Hospital where he later died. Police said they have not determined a motive for the brawl, but the investigation is still under way.
