Oregon missed two first half field goals and scored on a Barner run, while auburn was able to score three td's on two passes from cam newton and one rush from Dyer to make the first half score 21 - 7 Auburn. Darren Thomas strained his back in the second quarter severely hurting Oregon's offense. Kenjon Barner opened up the second half with a long TD run to make it 21 -14. Auburn responded with a 55 yard field goal to make it 24 -14. On the very next play from scrimmage Lamichael James ran 81 yards for a touchdown making it 24 - 21 with 3 min left in 3rd quarter. Oregon got the ball back and scored again to make it 28 - 24 with 1 minute left in the third. After recovering a fumble on the next kickoff Oregon scored on a pass to make it 35 - 24 at the end of the third. Utah drove back to Boise territory and made a 58 yard FG to make it 7-6 after 1 quarter. Boise kicked two more fg's to make the halftime score 13-6. Brotzman made another field goal to begin the second half, and at the end of the third quarter the score was 16-6. Utah drove down the field but was stopped on 4th and goal on the 6 yard line. It was one of the biggest Civil wars in the history of the rivalry. The stakes for the 114th Civil War were higher than for any of the previous meetings, with the Ducks assured of a spot in the national title game with a victory. The Beavers? They were simply looking to get to .500 and avoid sitting out the bowl season for the first time since 2001. Oregon State didn't play like a three-touchdown underdog and Oregon never did unleash a wave of big plays, like those that have consumed so many other teams, but they found a way led by Heisman candidate Lamichael James who rushed 28 times for 134 yds and 2 TD's and Darron Thomas went 14/24 for 145 and 2 scores. But the BIG play man was Kenjon Barner who stepped up when James needed a rest, carrying the ball 15 times for 133 yds and a TD as the Ducks win their 12th straight game 37-20 over the beavers. Oregon will play in the national championship game Jan. 10 against Auburn.

READ::::: The Boise State Broncos- One of the most historic BCS busters ever. They crushed Oklahoma's fiesta bowl game, along with many other different teams. Many people said they weren't good enough to play in the National Championship. They tried and tried to prove everyone wrong with 24 straight wins. They started this year off by beating Virginia Tech and crushing everyone in their path... until they reached Nevada... A game that could have put Boise into the National Championship game with a few other circumstances. They fought throughout the entire game. Obviously, they didn't bring their "A" game. Kellen Moore and the offense did everything they could to keep themselves in it, including a big diving catch by Titus Young that could've won the game if the kicker would have just hit the chip shot field goal.... He shanked it!!.... They go into OT... Boise couldn't advance the ball into the endzone so they had to settle what they thought was going to be an easy 3... what????? he shanked another?... no way Boise would go down like this. Nevada runs a few plays and bang Aaron Hernandez hits his field goal to upset the biggest BCS busters of all time. I thought that Boise could win it all with a little help from a few other teams to put them in position to take over the BCS standings, but they didn't.
