Quarterly, BERT members in Benicia, CA train to maintain disaster response skills. The Second Quarter Drill focuses on Search and Rescue. In 2009 we are emphasizing teamwork, leadership and speed via a competitive team format. We coordinate our drills with the assistance of the Benicia Fire Department, Benicia Fire Museum, Benicia Amateur Radio Club (HAMS) and dedicated BERT drill support members.
Shows Benicia Plein Air Group, aka DaGroup, at the Daffodil Tea on Mare Island, Vallejo, CA. DaGroup held an art show and paintout during the tea. They also donated paintings to the silent auction to benefit the growing awareness and restoration of St. Peter's Chapel, the oldest naval chapel in the US.

I intercepted the Union Pacific SD70ACe #1996, the Southern Pacific Heritage Unit crossing the Benicia-Martinez Bridge in California. It, along with two SD70M's are pulling a very high priority (Z train) doublestack. By luck, Amtrak Capitol Corridor train arrived later and raced it across the bridge while my camera was rolling.
My high school's annual Teacher Talent show did Thriller. As a 2nd act opener.
