This was the first race of the 2010 Formula 1 Season. So many returns were ahead of the season: Mercedes, with the 7 times champion Michael Schumacher, Sauber, with Pedro de la Rosa, Cosworth in 4 teams' hearts, And the Lotus RAcing first time after the 1994 Australian Grand Prix. Sebastian Vettel demonstrated Red Bull's power with the pole positon, but he failed at the race (finished 6th) suffered an engine problem. So the Ferrari team took 1-2 victory, with Fernando Alonso in the lead, and Felipe Massa finished second. The 2008 WC Lewis Hamilton got the 3rd place. The "Big Return" was OK I think, 'cause Michael finished 6th, in a not very good Mercedes. 1Fernando AlonsoFerrari49Winner 2Felipe MassaFerrari49+16.0 3Lewis HamiltonMcLaren-Mercedes49+23.1 4Sebastian VettelRBR-Renault49+38.7 5Nico RosbergMercedes Benz GP Ltd49+40.2 6Michael SchumacherMercedes Benz GP Ltd49+44.1 7Jenson ButtonMcLaren-Mercedes49+45.2 8Mark WebberRBR-Renault49+46.3 9Vitantonio LiuzziForce India-Mercedes49+53.0 10Rubens BarrichelloWilliams-Cosworth49+62.4 11Robert KubicaRenault49+69.0 12Adrian SutilForce India-Mercedes49+82.9 13Jaime AlguersuariSTR-Ferrari49+92.6 14Nico HulkenbergWilliams-Cosworth48+1 lap 15Heikki KovalainenLotus-Cosworth47+2 lap 16Sebastien BuemiSTR-Ferrari46+3 lap 17Jarno TrulliLotus-Cosworth46+3 lap RetPedro de la RosaBMW Sauber-Ferrari28+21 lap RetBruno SennaHRT-Cosworth17+32 lap RetTimo GlockVirgin-Cosworth16+33 lap RetVitaly PetrovRenault13+36 lap RetKamui KobayashiBMW ...

"A fantastic start to the championship! This amazing one-two is just reward for all the work of the team, both at the track and the factory in Maranello, over these past few months and I dedicate the result to them." "Un inizio di campionato fantastico! Questa straordinaria doppietta è la ricompensa per tutto il lavoro svolto dalla squadra, in pista e in fabbrica a Maranello, in tutti questi mesi e la voglio dedicare a loro."

A preview of this weekends race!
Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 drivers, and 2008 and 2009 World Champions, Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton give an exclusive behind the scenes preview of the 2010 Formula 1 season.
"After two intense months, on an off the track, the Formula 1 season is about to start my first season with the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro. I immediately felt at home with my new team and I cant wait for the Championship, which will be extremely interesting, to start. "I arrived in Bahrain on Monday evening and theres quite a difference between the climate here and in Europe, where it seems that winter wont end. Here its hot, but its not humid, so its actually quite pleasant being outside. The climate will be an important factor during this weekend, because well see how the cars and the tyres behave with very high temperatures. During the tests in February we drove with no more than around 25°C while here the temperatures are over 30°C: weve got to understand how the tyres work under these conditions, also because last years points of reference are very relative. "And if the new rules werent enough this first race is held on an extremely modified track compared to the previous editions. This morning I went around the track on a bicycle with my race engineer and I have to say that I found a very different, more guided track: this will not be the traditional stop-and-go track it once was. The lap time here will be the highest of all the tracks in the Championship, even higher than the one in Spa, which is a track with over seven kilometres. The new section is a series of corners with medium speed, requiring a higher downforce compared to the past and which will make the ...
oday's FIA press conference was a star-studded affair, with the returning Michael Schumacher, both McLaren drivers and both Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro drivers sharing the podium. In a way, Felipe Massa was also "returning" since his Budapest accident last year. "It's great to be back after eight months, back to racing again," said the Brazilian. "And I think we are starting well after going in the right direction after winter testing. Driving has been my job for so many years that I am really happy to be back." With a history of sometimes making a slow start to the season, in terms of picking up points, Massa is determined to do things differently this year. "It will be vital to finish these early races and to get points which will be very important come the end of the year. Reliability is the key to achieving this and we have made a good start as we were able to complete a lot of kilometres in winter testing." Asked about the lack of refuelling and the change to qualifying, Felipe was optimistic about the effect of the rule changes. "As we have not had a race yet with the new rules, I can't say if I prefer this system or the one from last year. But it is good to have a new challenge, with different elements to focus on." The Ferrari man was also in favour of the new points system, which sees a bigger gap between winning and coming second. "I think it's a good thing," he said. "Because winning is the most important thing in any sport and so the winner should be rewarded ...

Fernando Alonso talking about his feelings before the debut in the Championship behind the wheel of a Ferrari single-seater. After the positive winter tests hes ready to reward the fans for their affection with an impeccable race.
Felipe Massa talking about his return behind the wheel in an official race, about the new car and his expectations regarding the first, exciting race of the season, held on the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain.
Welcome to the new Formula1 season and welcome to the first Grand Prix on the Bahrain Sakhir Circuit. Like every year there are a few new regulations the drivers and teams have to get to grips with. The most important is definitely that no refuelling is allowed anymore during the entire length of the race. Another obvious change is that the front tyres are about 2,5 cm narrower which will affect the cars set up an awful lot. Also the minimal weight of a Formula1 car is now 620 kilogram, 15kilo more than last year AT&T Williams driver Nico Hülkenberg and F1 expert Christian Danner explain the new regulations.
For the opening race of the season we're off this year to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Here, set into the sand lies the Sakhir Circuit beneath the desert sun. And off we go into the first corner, a tricky affair, especially on the exit. As that decides wholl emerge best onto the long straight that follows and be the quickest to reach top speed. The drivers accelerate here to 300 km/h, still doing 110 around turn 4 despite unpredictable track adhesion. Fine desert sand impairs the tyres grip. Experience the circuit out of the drivers' perspective!

WF1 2009 Liga Round 04 Bahrain GP Highlights
Sorry to all if my video is late, I had problems with youtube and my movie maker. My take on the fourth round of the season, where Jenson Button won his third race from four, ahead of the on-form Sebastian Vettel and Jarno Trulli. Lewis Hamilton was a credible fourth place.
Kimi review of Bahrain GP 2009. Next step is the podium.
Fourth race of the Grand Prix season, and third win for Jenson Button. Sebastian Vettel in the Red Bull has to settle for second place, with Jarno Trulli in the Toyota ends up in third after starting from pole position. A bad race for Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfield in their BMW, but Kimi Raikkonen scores the first points of the season for Ferrari. Lewis Hamilton proves his worth in his Mclaren. Let me know your thoughts!
