When one police officer tried to manhandle Mahendra Singh, Secretary, CPM Mumbai, he indulged in a unique form of protest - he lay down on the ground, challenging the police to drag him at the end of the protest against the visit of Barack Obama to India. The Communist Party Of India (CPI) and Communist Party of India (Marxist), along with many activist groups in Mumbai, protested against visit of Barack Obama to India outside Churchgate station. They raised many issues, including the injustice done to the Bhopal gas victims by not only allowing Warren Anderson to go scot free, but allowing Union Carbide into India once again with another name, Dow Chemicals.
