It was a number 1 hit in Australia. The song appeared in three distinctly different incarnations, a raucous electric "Revolution", released as a single, a slowed "Revolution 1", which appeared on The Beatles, also known as the "White Album", and an early acoustic demo recorded in May of 1968, which is closer to the single version. A fourth connected piece written by Lennon, the heavily experimental "Revolution 9", appeared on the same White Album side as "Revolution 1", on the second side of the second disc. The first version of "Revolution" to be released (though the last to be recorded) was the B-side of the "Hey Jude" single, released in late August 1968. The single, as a stand-alone, reached #12 in the US Lennon wanted the initial, slower version to be released as a single but the other band members said it was too slow ...
"If I Fell" is a song by The Beatles which first appeared on the 1964 UK album A Hard Day's Night and the US album Something New. It was written primarily by John Lennon, with help from Paul McCartney. here is an alternate take of the song in which McCartney's voice strains and cracks at the end of a line, which first appeared on the Love Songs compilation double-LP, by an archivist's error when returning to the master tapes in Capitol's vault. Since then, this version has appeared in many places and is often heard on oldies stations in some markets. This version is the stereo version now found in The Capitol Albums box set. In the mono version, McCartney's voice strains, but does not crack. The stereo mix of the song (found on the Hard Day's Night LP and Something New) features a double-tracked opening by Lennon. "If I Fell" was a part of The Beatles repertoire during The Beatles' US and Canadian tour in 1964. The group typically performed the song faster than the studio version, and Lennon and McCartney often sang it with barely suppressed laughter. On more than one occasion it was introduced as "If I Fell Over".

The Beatles Remastered Series is the first installment in my first Youtube show: The Weekly Essay. In this series, I hope to cover ALL the bases of the Remastered Beatles catalog so that people interested (new and old alike) know what they're doing. Please Subscribe to my channel to be the first to hear about upcoming episodes. Part Three begins again with a video segue in the spirit of The Beatles white album (the third part of their studio career). After this I discuss why it took me so long, and what I used to get the comparisons right. I did tons of things including back-to-back listening, composite editing, etc. It took a long time but here it is. I think it showcases the difference between old master and stereo remaster pretty well. After that I explain why it is that the differences wont always be night and day. I discuss certain songs that finally get the treatment they deserve. IE: Good Morning, Good Morning on Sgt Peppers. After that I compare the Mono Remasters to the Stereo Remasters and show some primary differences (using only Sgt Pepper.) Please note that overall, stereo is probably better. Mono works better on SOME songs, and a good portion of them too. You wont be disappointed listening to mono. But Stereo sounds better most of the time (especially in headphones) Thanks! -Nathan Bartocci SONGS USED: Back in the USSR Dear Prudence Eleanor Rigby Here, There And Everywhere Two of Us Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds Sgt. A video of me unwrapping and opening my "Beatles In Mono" box set. Audio: "Hey Jude" (from Mono Masters) "The Beatles in Mono" is a box set compilation comprising the remastered monophonic recordings by The Beatles. The set was released on 9 September 2009, the same day the remastered stereo recordings and companion The Beatles Stereo Box Set were also released, along with The Beatles: Rock Band videogame. The remastering project for both mono and stereo versions was led by EMI senior studio engineers Allan Rouse and Guy Massey. (from Wikipedia)
The Beatles Remastered Series is the first installment in my first Youtube show, The Weekly Essay. In this series, I hope to cover ALL the bases of the Remastered Beatles catalog so that people interested (new and old alike) know what they're doing. Please Subscribe to my channel to be the first to hear about upcoming episodes. Part Two begins with a neat little music video segue attempting to pay tribute to the second phase of the Beatles studio career: the psychadellic years. This is followed by an unboxing of the mono set, showing off the packaging, the Beatles in mono booklet, and comparing the Stereo version of a Hard Days Night to the mono version. After this I give detailed walkthroughs on Sgt Peppers and The White Album. Unfortunately, I had to skip Magical Mystery Tour because of time constraints. The essay concludes with my person insight to my viewers where I explain overall why you should or shouldnt get the mono box set. A note on Part Three: Up until now, I have only discussed the packaging and information. The most important part, however, is the music! In part three I will give you sound by sound comparisons of the original 80s masters, the new stereo remasters, and the mono remasters. Its all coming your way next week! If you have any questions or criticisms of my videos I would love to hear them. Leave me a comment and Ill try my absolute hardest to reply to it. In this series, I hope to cover ALL the bases of the Remastered Beatles catalog so that people interested (new and old alike) know what they're doing. Please Subscribe to my channel to be the first to hear about upcoming episodes. Part One begins with a count in to the first song on the groups debut Please Please Me. This was a little tribute to the energy that made The Beatles skyrocket in the first part of their career. Throughout the course of the video I show off The Box of Vision and how it holds all the CDs, the discuss the stereo remaster packaging, focusing on A Hard Days Night as the example. I give a detailed tour of the book and case, the Box of Vision, the books featured inside the Box of Vision, explaining how The Stereo Remaster feature TONS of information. All of this is accompanied by pictures to make for really easy viewing. If you have any questions or criticisms of my videos I would love to hear them. WATCH IN HD AND SUBSCRIBE IF YOU WANT MORE ;) (Click Read More plz) ______ This Mockup consists of the following songs: 00:00 - You Never Give Me Your Money 04:03 - Sun King 06:29 - Mean Mr. Mustard 07:36 - Polythene Pam 08:54 - She Came In Through The Bathroom Window No, this is not the medley because it is not available for Wii. Just a clever edit. ______ Now before you all freak out and say "OMG FAKE, MEDLEY ISN'T ON WII!", I just want to say "Of course it isn't, I never said it was". This is just a clever edit done in iMovie. I watched the Medley Full Band videos on YouTube to get a vision of how the tracks were combined. The most editing had to be done on "You Never Give Me Your Money", the rest of the tracks for the most part were left alone. The Audio is from the remastered box set because it flows together, I wouldn't have been able to do this with the audio that the game has (since it doesn't have the fade out in "You Never Give Me Your Money" for example). Plus its better quality in general :P This was lots of fun to make, I hope you all enjoy it. Part 2 is up as well! I purchased the Beatles Remastered Stereo Box Set in September and it has finally been delivered! (pretty late, i know.) It's stunning, the amount of work they put into the design of this set.

Comparison of the 1987 CD Remaster, the 2009 Stereo Box Set Remaster, the 2009 Mono Box Set Remaster, and the 2009 Stereo Version on the Mono Set (which is different from the mix on the Stereo Box set). Why this song? Lots of harmonies, and we've all already heard it a million times. If anyone has a good version off of vinyl, or rock band, lemme know. I may put up another song comparison, any requests?
This video is a side by side (one after another) comparison of The Beatles song "Please Please Me" from the newly remastered mono and stereo box sets. Originally released in 1963 Please Please Me was the Beatles first album. If you listen to both you'll notice that on the stereo version Paul flubs a line near the last chorus and John responds by laughing during the beginning of the chorus. That part was never on the mono version, to my knowledge anyway. This is my first video so please let me know what you think and how I can improve in the future, with my limited tech capabilities. www.musicbyday.com A quick look at the packaging of The Beatles Stereo Box Set. With a closer look at Please Please Me & The White Album. The video gives a page by page look at the booklets that come with these albums (each album in the set comes with it's own booklet and some of the albums have extra goodies like the poster that comes with The White Album.) The video includes clips from seven remastered Beatles songs (three from Please Please Me & four from The White Album) but don't judge the sound by this YouTube clip.
