Bihar, November 20 (ANI): A Paramilitary official was seriously injured in a bomb blast on Saturday in Bihar, where the sixth phase of assembly elections is in progress. The police officials suspect the role of Maoists in the bomb blast, which took place when Chop Singh Sharma, the injured Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officer was taking the polling party to conduct elections in nearby villages. Around 35000 central paramilitary force personnel have been deployed at all the booths in 11 Maoist-affected constituencies in Gaya and Aurangabad districts.
Gaya, November 01 (ANI): In a major crackdown against the Maoists, the Bihar police on Sunday nabbed six Maoists including Deep Singh, the area commander of the Revolutionary Core Committee of the ultras, from Gaya district.The police team headed by Senior Superintendent of Police Amit Lodha said the police obtained information that the area commander Deep Singh was hiding in the nearby Khekara village of Gaya district and arrested him. After his arrest the police cordoned off another area in the district and launched an operation and arrested five other Maoists ultras acting on the information provided by Deep Singh.
Bihar, October 29 (ANI): An attempt by the Maoists to blow off a school building in Bihar was foiled by police on Thursday. The rebels had planted an improvised explosive device at a rural school in state's Aurangabad district. Ehsaan Khan, a constable of the Bihar Military Police, arrived home on Monday in India's Gore village, after nine days of captivity by Maoist rebels. Khan returned to his rejoicing family at 3 in the morning. Khan shared his experience of being held captive by the Maoists. [Ehsaan Khan, Police Constable]: "The eight days that I spent in the Maoists' den were difficult. Although they did not harm us, I felt depressed whenever I remembered my family and village." [Fareeda Khatoon, Khan's Wife]: "After his safe release and since he is back at our residence, me, my children, other family members, and the villagers are really happy and celebrating his return." He also said that Maoists are gradually becoming better organized in the area, and that the government would need to take fast action against them. In another incident, four policemen were kidnapped by Maoists after a gun-battle in the forests of the state of Bihar. The Maoists used the four hostages to bargain for the release of eight of their cadres. One policeman's body was later recovered while the other three were set free unconditionally.

Lakhisarai,September 06 (ANI): After the three police personnel abducted by Maoists were released in Bihar in the wee hours of Monday,police have said they will conduct a probe into the incident.AK Ambedkar,Inspector-General (Bhagalpur range),said that an investigation would be conducted into the hostage incident,which was precipitated after a fierce gun-battle of police personnel with Maoists in which eight policemen were killed. Meanwhile,Shambhu Yadav,uncle of one of the hostages Abhay Kumar Yadav,said that the rebels treated the cops well.

Patna, September 02 (ANI): The standoff between Maoists and the police in Bihar over the kidnapping of four policemen in Lakhisarai district of the state by the rebels continued on Thursday. The Maoists had set a deadline of 10 am for the government to give in to their demands, failing which the 4 kidnapped policemen would be killed. Rajini Devi, wife of abducted policeman Abhay Kumar Yadav, appealed to Bihar government to accept the demands of Maoists for the safe release of her husband and other police personnel.
