Bill Maher on the Obama iPad hypocrisy
On this week's 'Real Time with Bill Maher', Maher sat down with Salman Rushdie, Alexis Glick, and David Frum. During their lengthy discussion, Obama's performance at the White House Correspondents dinner came up. Bill Maher pointed out that Obama made a pretty weird joke, that not only implied pedophilia but also made light of the deaths of those attacked by predator drones in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Bill Maher tells it like it is
Bill Maher was on the Larry King show on Tuesday night (021610) and covered several topics in his usual humorous, irreverent manner including Sen. Evan Bayh's decision to resign, Barack Obama's need for a spine, Dick Cheney's dishonesty, and the evils of socialism in the United States, or not.
Bill Maher commenting on Barack Obama's Inauguration
On "Real Time" Friday night Bill Maher suggested that this weekend was the perfect time for President Obama to announce that he would repeal "don't ask, don't tell," due to the fact that Obama will be speaking to a gay rights group on Saturday and because of the march for gay rights in Washington Sunday. Maher referred to "don't ask, don't tell'' as a policy that "never made sense to begin with." The HBO host then delivered some particularly amusing reasons why Obama should end the policy. "Forget all the good arguments for repeal, like, because it's the right thing to do, or because it was promised in the campaign," Maher said. Instead: "Do it because it will make Rush Limbaugh explode like a bag full of meat dropped from a helicopter," he said. "Do it because it will make Sarah Palin go rogue in her pants." www.huffingtonpost.com
bit.ly On "Real Time" Friday night, host Bill Maher closed his show with some sharp words for the Obama administration with regards to how they have responded to criticism from figures such as Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin. Paul Hipp - "We're Number 37" bit.ly Maher called the White House "cowards" for allowing Van Jones to resign following a series of right-wing attacks and for capitulating to those who complained about the nature of Obama's back-to-school speech. "The Democrats just never learn. Americans don't really care which side of an issue you're on as long as you don't act like pussies," Maher said. Maher then criticized Obama for trying to win over those who vehemently disagree with him, insisting that the president should instead "stand up for the 70 percent of Americans who aren't crazy." "When are we going to actually show up in all this," Maher said.

Just Legalize at tyrannic.net Among the 13728 questions submitted to the White House's open call for questions for President Obama to address during his online town hall, more than a few of the most popular were about legalizing marijuana -- a topic that seems to come up frequently whenever politicians poll the Web public for questions. In fact, the top six questions in the popular "Budget" category, as well as top questions in the "Health Care Reform" and "Green Jobs" categories addressed pot and drug legalization. Excerpt from meeting THE PRESIDENT: Can I just interrupt, Jared, before you ask the next question, just to say that we -- we took votes about which questions were going to be asked and I think 3 million people voted or -- DR. BERNSTEIN: Three point five million. THE PRESIDENT: Three point five million people voted. I have to say that there was one question that was voted on that ranked fairly high and that was whether legalizing marijuana would improve the economy -- (laughter) -- and job creation. And I don't know what this says about the online audience -- (laughter) -- but I just want -- I don't want people to think that -- this was a fairly popular question; we want to make sure that it was answered. The answer is, no, I don't think that is a good strategy -- (laughter) -- to grow our economy. (Applause.) Read the full story here! Just Legalize at tyrannic.net
Bill Maher recently made a very stupid statement: "We dont really have a progressive party in this country... Barack is Obama is not a socialist, hes not even a liberal. This country needs a left wing, it doesnt have it." We've done the necessary legwork on this issue, Bill hasn't a clue what he's talking about. www.freewebs.com media.eyeblast.org

3. Keith and Bill Maher discuss President Barack Obama and George Bush Part 4: www.youtube.com
Bill Maher talks to Keith Olbermann on Countdown about President Barack Obama's need to stiffen his spine and take it to the rethuiglicans on the Health Care debate. A public health insurance plan must be included in any changes to the current medical mess in the US. Although a single payer plan is preferable, it is at a minimum that a public health insurance plan must pass any Senate vote which will take Obama pushing it.
