I was testing the "Kawai EX-Pro" A very interesting piano, the sound is warm and modern. It has 3 different positions of microphone gift, "Rime / Side, Player and Close. I played this song with the "Close" effect. For each microphone position you can adjust the volume and pan. I can freely suggest to those who love the piano sample, should not miss the "Kawai EX-Pro". A low price with a really high quality sound. For more detailed information, please visit: www.acousticsamples.net Info about the song I played: The Good Life (1962 song) "The Good Life" (originally "La Belle Vie" in French) is a popular song by Sacha Distel and 1934 born composer Jack Reardon, published in 1962. The song is best known in the English-speaking world as a 1963 recording by Tony Bennett. He gained a number 18 hit on the US pop singles chart with it; it also became one of his rarer UK Singles Chart hits, making it to number 27 there. "The Good Life" became one of Bennett's staple songs, and was featured on two of his top-selling albums, 1994's MTV Unplugged: Tony Bennett and 2006's Duets: An American Classic, the latter featuring Billy Joel. Bennett also named his 1998 autobiography after the song. As of 2009, he still performs the song live and often jokingly dedicates it to Britney Spears. "The Good Life" was the theme song of the 2000 British gangster film, Gangster No. 1, and it was also employed as a 2007 jingle for a line of pet foods of the same name. A Julie London rendition was used by ...

Wikipedia: "His Eye Is on the Sparrow" is a Gospel hymn. Although today it is a staple of African-American worship services, the song was originally written in 1905 by two white songwriters, lyricist Civilla D. Martin and composer Charles H. Gabriel. The song is most associated with actress-singer Ethel Waters who used the title for her autobiography.

Gene Clark had been a member of the New Christy Minstrels (along with Barry mcguire and Kenny Rogers). After changing their name to the Beefeaters, mcguinn, Clark and Crosby recorded an Elektra single called "Please Let Me Love You," which was not well received. By 1964 the group added bassist, Chris Hillman (who also played mandolin), and were in search of a drummer. Crosby and mcguinn were standing in front of the Troubadour when they spotted a man coming toward them who looked like a combination of two of the members of the Rolling Stones. Michael Clarke was hired on the spot for just looking the part. Clarke didn't know how to play the drums, but that didn't matter. LINK: jeb1948.blogspot.com There's been considerable discussion about whether Bobby Darin should be classified as a rock & roll singer, a Vegas hipster cat, an interpreter of popular standards, or even a folk-rocker. He was all of these and none of these. Throughout his career he made a point of not becoming committed to any one style at the exclusion of others; at the height of his nightclub fame he incorporated a folk set into his act. When it appeared he could have gone on indefinitely as a sort of junior version of Frank Sinatra, he would periodically record pop/rock and folk-rock singles whose principal appeal lay outside of the adult pop market. At one point he started calling himself Bob Darin and recorded songs with vague anti-establishment overtones that could be said to be biting the largely bourgeois hands that fed his highest-paying gigs. It may be most accurate to say that Darin was, above all, a singer who wanted to do a lot of things, rather than make his mark as a particular stylist. That may have cost him some points as far as making it to the very top of certain genres, but also makes his work more versatile than almost any other vocalist of his era. When Darin had his first hits in the late '50s, he was a teen idol of sorts, albeit a teen idol with much more talent and mature ...

Timi Yuro initially found success on the US charts during the early '60's, with her biggest hit being "Hurt", a song originally recorded by Roy Hamilton. After her career wound down, she retired from the music business in the late '60's. When she eventually returned, she made a very well-received comeback on the Dutch charts in 1981 with a re-recording of her biggest hit, "Hurt". She then charted with a remake of Brenda Lee's "All Alone Am I", followed by this record. Her last album, "Today", was released on a Dutch label. Charted at #26 in the Dutch Top 40 in March 1982. Remake of the '50's hit by Bobby Helms.

A tribute vid to Bobby Darin and Sandra Dee, set to a live version of Bobby's "Once Upon A Time". In the 2004 biopic of Darin, "Beyond The Sea", Kevin Spacey used this song as the main love theme for Bobby and Sandy. Married from 1960 to 1966, the union produced a son, Dodd Darin, and the couple were America's sweethearts, starring in three films together as a team, "Come September" (1961), which was the film in which they met, "If A Man Answers" (1962) and "That Funny Feeling" (1965). The marriage was troubled, although they never really got out of each other's blood. The hopeless romantic in me is running rampant again. I hope this montage inspires some nice memories, enjoyment and maybe even a few tears. Enjoy. DISCLAIMER: All photos, stills, clips and music are copyrighted to their respective owners. Darin's Life and Love
1942 in Roanoke, Virginia, Newton began singing professionally at the age of six, and formed a rockabilly duo with his brother Jerry after the family moved to Phoenix in the mid-'50s. The pair was featured on a local TV show while still in their pre-teens, and moved to Las Vegas in the early '60s for a five-year engagement (recording as well, for both Capitol and George Records). By 1963, Jerry had dropped out of the act, and Wayne returned to Capitol to begin recording as a solo act, under ...

Bobby Darin cramped everything into the mere 37 years he lived. He was a multi-talented man who played the drums, piano, harmonica, guitar and what not. He was a successful actor, energetic entertainer, and a superb singer. Of course he is known mostly for his interpretations of "Mack The Knife", "Beyond The Sea", his early hits "Splish-Splash" and "Dream Lover". But among the many songs he wrote, arranged and produced, he also wrote and recorded great folk songs. He did a great version of ...
A sequence about the courtship and marriage of Bobby Darin & Sandra Dee from my A&E Biography on Bobby Darin. A note of trivia: the very brief home movies of Bobby and Sandra on the set of "Come September" as seen from far above were actually shot by their co-star Rock Hudson.
