You have to give the Bonnaroo-promoting AC Superfly crew, who hail from NOLA, their propers for their curation of stages which showcase young and established and even legendary -- bands from New Orleans. And it's this curatorial element -- and now I'm talking about bands well beyond NOLA as well -- that I love about the Roos, past and present. This is why I go to Bonnaroo, and apparently why I'll be going to Voodoofest --- where Wolfman will be performing and where I'm also keen to hear Erykah Badu, whom I told during an interview a few months back that she had to play Voodoofest, which she'd never heard of -- I preached about how she should tell her manager ASAP -- 'glad to see she's on there! Badu at Voodoofest sounds like a trip. They should curate a superjam with her singing. Back to the moon over Tennesse for another long minute, there are some sets at the 'Roo which just add to the legend of its magic.
