The No. 8/9 Northeastern Huskies dropped a tightly-contested affair on Sunday afternoon vs. Boston University, 2-1 at Matthews Arena. Senior Lindsay Berman scored Northeastern's lone goal and junior Leah Sulyma stopped 26 pucks in the defeat. The Huskies, now tied for fourth in the Hockey East standings, close out the regular season next weekend with a home-and-home series against UConn Feb. 20-21.

The No. 6 Northeastern Huskies (16-5-4, 8-4-4-3 HEA) extended their unbeaten streak to six straight games with a 2-2 tie and a 2-0 shootout win over Boston University on Tuesday at Matthews Arena. Senior Annie Hogan and freshman Brittany Esposito scored for the Huskies in regulation, while junior Alyssa Wohlfeiler and freshman Rachel Llanes notched shootout goals. The Huskies return to action on Feb. 2 vs. BU in the opening round of the 2010 Women's Beanpot at 5 pm
Boston University scraped by with a 3-2 win over their archrival Boston College at a snowy Fenway Park. BU took a 3-0 lead by the middle of the 2nd period on goals by David Warsofsky, Joe Pereira, and Wade Megan. BC got a goal late in the 2nd from Brian Gibbons and then cut the BU lead to one in the 3rd with a shorthanded goal by Cam Atkinson. However, Kieran Millan was strong enough in net for the Terriers to come away with the victory in a nail-biting finish.

UNH battled against BU in its annual "Blue Out the Whit" game, and came out on top 4-2. UNH's specialty teams had a huge impact on the game, killing five penalties and converting two goals of their own during the power play. Boston University beats rival Maine in the 1995 Men's Ice Hockey National Championship Game by a score of 6-2 on the strength of 2 goals by Chris O'Sullivan. BU scored the first 3 goals, but Maine clawed back to make it a 3-2 game early in the 3rd period.
