'Make Breastfeeding Your Business' is a 10 min video produced by Lindsay Corbin of the Pictou County Health Authority and Geordie Mott from Wooden Shoe Photography outlining the Make Breastfeeding Your Business: An Action Support Kit. The Baby-Friendly Initiative™ (BFI) is an international initiative that helps organizations adopt practices that protect, promote and support breastfeeding. It has been created by the World Health Organization and UNICEF to support breastfeeding and its many benefits for the baby, the mother, families and the community. This initiative is also supported by the federal and provincial governments. Throughout Nova Scotia, committees exist that provide leadership for the protection, promotion, and support of breastfeeding in local communities. The goal is for our Nova Scotia communities to become baby friendly, with breastfeeding becoming the cultural norm for infant feeding. Although it is recognized that breastfeeding is not an option for all women, by developing supportive spaces within our communities, barriers are removed that may influence women's decision to begin and/or continue breastfeeding their babies. This kit has been created to help local businesses build their knowledge about breastfeeding and provide tools to better support breastfeeding women whether they are employees or clients This video has been made possible by the Pictou County Baby-Friendly Initiative (TM) Committee with financial support from the Pictou County Health ...

Another two he is off and the last 3 he is off at 6. -Sorry about the sound changes... after the first two dark early morning clips it picks back up- forewaring (-; -I tried to rerecord when I get to his school/leave for work and you will see a piece of it (again, comp. wouldn't let me edit it) but I get to his school at about 7:30 and leave at 7:55. OVERVIEW Pregnancy and early parenthood is an exciting and challenging time, when it's good to know there is expert advice on hand to help take care of you and your baby. AVENT has been designing and manufacturing products since 1984 that are inspired by nature and have been developed through extensive research and clinical trials. Now, as part of the Philips Group of Holland, the new Philips AVENT continues to produce innovative solutions that make feeding and caring for your baby easier. THE PHILIPS AVENT STORY In 1984 the AVENT brand was born with the introduction of a baby feeding bottle that set the standard for feeding bottles worldwide. It was the owner of the company Edward Atkin, who first noted how standard feeding bottles were simply not up to the task. The bottle nipples were hard, long, and narrow and the bottles awkward, unstable and difficult to fill. Edward set about designing a feeding bottle that would become the next best thing to breastfeeding. What he produced was the best designed, best engineered baby feeding bottle in the world. The Philips AVENT bottle has a wide neck and base for easier cleaning and filling. Its nipple was the first to be made entirely of odorless, tasteless silicone; soft and broad in shape it was as close to nature as he could make it and has a unique venting system to help reduce colic in the newborn. So it's no surprise that more mothers choose Philips AVENT than any other feeding bottle. From this point the Philips AVENT ...
Problems getting started? Baby not latching on? Sore nipples. This 3 minute video guide from Mother & Baby TV offers advice from mums like you and experts on all aspects of breastfeeding. Real mums talk openly about getting started with breasfeeding, how to get your baby to latch on and the benefits for you and baby when breastfeeding. When you are breastfeeding you're passing on antibodies from your own immune system, giving your baby the maximum protection against respiratory infections, ear infections and tummy upsets. Containing around 400 nutrients, breastmilk provides the perfect balance of carbohydrates, fats and protein for your newborn. Tips to know your baby is latched on and breastfeeding correctly: Your baby's mouth is wide open. His lower lip is rolled back towards his chin. If you move it carefully aside, you can see his tongue visibly cupping your breast. His head is tipped slightly back. His chin is firmly on your breast but his nose is not touching (or only lightly touching) your breast. He makes short chopping sucks to start, which then change to deep regular sucks. There's an audible 'unk' sound as he swallows, usually every one to three jaw strokes. See the original video and more at www.askamum.co.uk

This video is brought to you by www.MilkChic.co.uk - the shopping directory for nursing mums. This requires a top which can be lifted to above the breast. It is incredibly discreet - no danger of showing any flesh, but does limit you to tops and skirts or trousers. Your clothing acts as a cover for the baby, so it's good for infants who are easily distressed or distracted. It's not so good for children who like to see you or who don't like their heads covered. Feeding small babies this way exposes more tummy than other techniques but a low slung vest top or belly band is a great cover up without adding bulk. Look for: * Tops loose at the waist and under bust * Smock styling * Empire lines with stretch at bust for access
