Brett Boyett is an exceptionally talented musician who has recently recorded several tracks with Keith Olsen (Fleetwood Mac, Heart, Foreigner, Pat Benetar, White Snake, etc.) and Chris James (Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, Hilary Duff). He has also had the chance to write songs for "The Fallen Heroes Fund," "The Make A Wish Foundation," and Legendary singer of the Miracles "Billy Griffin." Brett was a 2001 winner of the ASCAP "Demo to Deal," "The Advanced Songwriter Workshop," and "The ASCAP Mentorship Program." He has further had the opportunity to work with some of the best television and film composers in the business. Brett's worked on such shows as "Everybody Loves Raymond," "My Name Is Earl," "Friday Night Lights," "Center Of The Universe," "Moola," "The Guerrero Project," "The Great New Wonderful," "New York Dolls," and most recently "Viva Laughlin," among others. An artist and composer of exceptional skill, Brett continues to inspire fans around the world. Joining Brett is Deborah Wagnon, who has worked with an international roster of many of the entertainment industry's leading recording artists, producers, screenwriters, authors, filmmakers, and songwriter/composers. Included among them are artists such as Gloria Estefan, Jon Secada, Olivia Newton-John, Reba McEntire, Travis Tritt, Lorrie Morgan, Randy Travis, John Berry, Deanna Carter, and Robert Earl Keen. Deborah also represents film and television projects, including the 2001 release "The Journey" with a musical soundtrack by major recording artists including Atlantic Records artist Edwin McCain, Indigo Girls, Hootie & The Blowfish and many others; Emmy-winning producer & director Nina Seavey's 2002 documentary "Ballad of Bering Strait" shot in Russia and the U.S., and London-based Principal Films currently producing a television documentary for initial broadcast in the U.S. Deborah further represents the fast-growing NWFL as league counsel for all entertainment matters, including television and corporate sponsorships. Along with Brett and Deborah, Keith Olsen joins the program to discuss his many achievements in the recording industry. Early in his career, Keith found himself involved with many super talents touring in the folk rock circuit, like David Crosby, Roger McGuinn and Chris Hillman, among others. Keith also used his first hand knowledge of how production equipment is used, what is needed, and how to hopefully keep technology out of the way of creativity, to assemble a team of experts to develop their line of digital products. He additionally produces several albums per year for Pogologo Productions Group and gives his time and energy tirelessly to the "National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences" (NARAS) Producers & Engineers Wing, the mission of which he strongly believes is so necessary in this era of digital revolution. He currently serves on the P&E Steering Committee, P&E Advisory Council. Keith was the bass player for The Music Machine, who later went on to producing, co-producing the Fleetwood Mac album Fleetwood Mac, which was released in 1975. His career has spanned decades and included many of the top 50 artists of the 80's, 90's, and 2000's. His award-winning career is well documented by numerous websites, books, and episodes of VH1's "Behind the Music". Anchor Brittany Salsberry speaks with Laron Griffin about basketball as well as football.
BNP chairman Nick Griffin blatantly lying about immigration? On 11 Oct 2000 London newspaper the Wembley Observer printed an article about their local authority - Brent Council, voting in favour of a plan to try and voluntarily disperse some of the 16,000 people on their long-term waiting list for Council Housing, to homes in Newcastle where there's less of a shortage of affordable homes. The British National Party - the BNP - responded by circulating a leaflet in Denton, Newcastle, a district with a population of less than 11,000 residents, 98% of whom are white, claiming that the Labour Party planned to ship "16,000 refugees" from Brent to Denton! The BNP were lying, because... 1. Most of the 16,000 people on Brent's list were NOT refugees 2. Not all of them were going to be asked to move anyway 3. There was NO plan to move all of these people to Denton In this interview (see video) Nick Griffin confirms that he is aware of both the BNP Newcastle Branch leaflet, and the original newspaper article. Not content with having been caught out once, Nick Griffin then repeats the lie made in the original BNP leaflet, by claiming that the article stated that the local council is aiming to ship "16,000 Refugees". When the TV presenter points out that he is lying, Nick Griffin insists "that's what the local paper said", before rather weakly admitting that instead the BNP had made a "mistake". There was of course no "mistake", in the sense that the BNP often misrepresent complex issues to make opportunistic gains from deliberate scaremongering. Problems over access to council housing have been the main grievance that's encouraged support for the NF and BNP since the 1960s, but the BNP always try to make problems worse rather than solving them. BNP London councillor Richard Barnbrook was elected on a pledge of making more affordable homes available for local people in Barking and Dagenham, but, once elected, Richard Barnbrook voted AGAINST planned developments at Lymington Fields and Barking Riverside which would have provided nearly 5,000 affordable homes... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhRjOwaJfE0 Bizarrely the BNP chairman Nick Griffin and a convicted Italian terrorist called Roberto Fiore run a business called "Easy London" ("Londra è Facile") that makes millions from ENCOURAGING immigration into the UK, and from organising immigrants to apply for British jobs and take British homes... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftzUndlTTmY http://www.easylondonaccommodation.com/ http://www.easylondon.com/ http://www.londra-facile.com/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fibeIOvJTFY One of the immigrants Nick Griffin helped to live in the UK is a South African terrorist called Lambertus Nieuwhof... http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2007/mar/31/otherparties.thefarright Nick Griffin's constitution makes the BNP a dictatorship... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bL2UGPiJu2k BNP chairman Nick Griffin reveals the true BNP strategy... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04QolIvfQEw .

Peter Griffin had been an announcer at CHUM-FM Toronto since 1963, when it was a station. When they adopted the rock format in 1968, Pete moved to afternoons, and in 1971 was given the morning show. In 1972, he took on a partner in the form of station engineer David Haydu, one of whose radio names was Geets Romo (taken from a character on the 1961 Del Close & John Brent album, "How To Speak Hip"). They were the first morning team in Toronto radio. It's done everywhere now, but at the time it was a new concept. With Pete's dry humor, Geets' zany antics and multiple characters, and the obvious riot they had every day doing their hystercal comedy bits, Pete & Geets occupied the #1 slot in Toronto radio through 1977, but in 1978 they were axed by the station. Pete Griffin remained at CHUM until 1980, when he left for the morning show at Brampton's CFNY. Meanwhile, Haydu appeared on rival Q107 with various morning hosts for two and a half years. The pair were reunited in 1982 on CFNY, and resumed their morning show until 1987. Griffin moved on to work elsewhere in radio, and Haydu remained at CFNY as chief engineer. After 21 years at CFNY, he returned to the CHUM Group as Director of Engineering in 2001. These recordings are from an album they made, in what must be a VERY limited edition, consisting of eight skits from their CHUM-FM morning show, circa 1974. There's no documentation of it that I can find to date it accurately, except a brief mention that it was on the Miracle label ("If it's a hit, it's a Miracle!") - although there is no label name or printed cover on my copy. It has not been heard in decades, so I think it's time to turn people onto the madness that was Pete & Geets. Enjoy!
