All those derisive whistles sounded like cheers to Tim Lincecum. The Freak outdueled Roy Halladay. Cody Ross hit a pair of solo homers and the San Francisco Giants beat the Philadelphia Phillies 4-3 Saturday night in the NL championship series opener. In a mega-hyped matchup between marquee pitchers, neither starter came close to matching his sensational postseason debut last week. Both gave up homers to No. 8 hitters. "It was big, it sets the pace for the series," Lincecum said. Halladay's bid for a second straight no-hitter lasted until Ross connected with one out in the third. Lincecum, who tossed a two-hitter in the division series, gave up three runs on homers to Jayson Werth and Carlos Ruiz in seven innings. But Lincecum got the big outs when he needed them, and the Giants earned their fourth one-run win in the playoffs. The two-time NL champion Phillies lost their first series opener since getting swept by Colorado in 2007. "I don't think we can do nothing to bring this game back tonight," Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said. "It's a loss. So we come out tomorrow, and we come out and play in that moment, try to win that game. That's what we've got to do." The Giants are seeking their first World Series title since moving from New York for the 1958 season. Cody Ross, a Phillies nemesis, ripped a 2-0 pitch to the seats in left to give the Giants a 2-1 lead in the fifth. He was 3 for 16 off Halladay before taking him deep his first two at-bats. The San Francisco Giants eliminate Braves in NLDS, sending Bobby Cox into retirement. Another ace, another dominating performance. Philadelphia, trying to become the first NL team in 66 years to win three straight pennants, will host San Francisco in the NLCS opener on Saturday. The Giants beat the Braves 3-2 Monday to take a 3-1 lead in their best-of-five division series. The opening game will take place Saturday in Philadelphia. Halladay pitched a no-hitter in his first career playoff appearance last week, and Lincecum followed a night later by striking out 14 in a two-hit performance. Lincecum is the two-time Cy Young Award winner, while the longtime Blue Jay Halladay is a favourite this season to join the small ranks of pitchers to win the Cy in both leagues. The Phillies and Giants split six games this season, but the two aces didn't face each other.
The San Francisco Giants couldn't wait to get to the champagne, to pop the cork on a celebration eight years in the making. But first, they had to pay their respects to the guy in the other dugout. Bobby Cox's career ended when the Atlanta Braves lost to the Giants 3-2 in the deciding game of the NL division series Monday night, giving San Francisco its first playoff victory since a run to the World Series in 2002. The chants of "Bobby! Bobby! Bobby!" from the crowd at Turner Field were to be expected for a retiring manager who's sure to wind up in Cooperstown. The more touching gesture was provided by the Giants, who quit jumping around long enough to clap for Cox and tip their caps in his direction. "He's a legend in this sport," second baseman Freddy Sanchez(notes) said. "He's been a great mentor to so many people in the sport. We had to show our respect. First things first. Then we could go celebrate." They certainly had reason. The Braves coaxed two walks out of San Francisco closer Brian Wilson(notes) in the bottom of the ninth, but they couldn't get the hit that might've extended Cox's career for at least one more game. Omar Infante(notes) struck out on a checked swing, and Melky Cabrera(notes) hit a routine grounder to third. Just like that, it was over. Tim Lincecum beat the Braves with a two-hit, 14-strikeout shutout in Game 1. "Our pitching, I can't say enough about," Ross said. "We scored only a handful of runs and ended up winning the series in four games. It ...

Edited by Nuno Monteiro. Song written by Victor Lovera. Buy PURPOSE (1986) @ www.rsteviemoore.com "One of R. Stevie Moore's best mid-'80s tapes, 1986's Purpose is both a freewheeling whirl through Moore's usual panoply of musical styles, and a key step in the development of what many consider his finest LP, 1987's Teenage Spectacular. Several of Moore's best-loved songs from this era are here, including two takes of the daffy but sweet "I Love You Too Much To Bother You," the brooding ballad "Back In Time," and the ghostly, abstract "I Will Want To Die." The disc also includes the definitive new version of "Hobbies Galore," one of Moore's most beautiful songs, originally recorded in 1975, and a terrific countryish rocker, "Thank Hank," penned by Moore's old Nashville buddy Victor Lovera." - Stewart Mason, All Music Guide $upport The Artist! LINK: tinyurl.com The Beach Boys are an American rock band, formed in 1961, who gained popularity for their close vocal harmonies and lyrics reflecting a Southern California youth culture of cars, surfing, and romance. Brian Wilson's growing creative ambitions later transformed them into a more artistically innovative group that earned critical praise and influenced many later musicians. The group was initially composed of singer-musician-composer Brian Wilson, his brothers, Carl and Dennis, their cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine. This core quintet was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 1988. The Beach Boys have often been called "America's Band", and Allmusic has stated that "the band's unerring ability... made them America's first, best rock band. The group has had thirty-six US Top 40 hits (the most of any US rock band) and fifty-six Hot 100 hits, including four number-one singles. Rolling Stone magazine listed The Beach Boys as number 12 in the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. According to Billboard, in terms of singles and album sales, The Beach Boys are the No.1 selling American band of all time. "When I Grow Up (to Be a Man)" is a song written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love for the American pop band The Beach Boys. It was released on their 1965 album The Beach Boys ...

Buy it @ www.rsteviemoore.com Song originally written/recorded in 1974 for the DIY Rock Opera "Apologies to Mr Gottlieb". Available as bonus tracks on Next (1974). Buy it @ www.rsteviemoore.com "Moore has not entirely forsaken his progressive rock tendencies, however, as evinced by the surprisingly appealing album-length rock opera "Apologies to Mr. Gottlieb" that takes up a full half of this two-disc set. A playfully obscure fable about the music industry that unfolds over the course of 17 songs, instrumentals, tape-loop freak-outs, and spoken word interludes, the work is as a whole much less pretentious than the likes of Tales From Topographic Oceans. In fact, its daffy surrealism and charmingly DIY quality links it to lo-fi concept albums that would come a good quarter century later like the Music Tapes' First Imaginary Symphony for Nomad or Masters of the Hemisphere's I Am Not a Freemdoom. Next/Apologies to Mr. Gottlieb has a few faults ("Hot Bloose" proves that Moore has not given up his unfortunate affinity for overlong guitar noodling), but it's yet another pivotal step in his artistic development." This is an instrumental cover of Melt Away from Brian Wilson's 1988 self titled solo album. A friend of mine suggested I try writing some instrumentals, so to get in the zone, I covered one of my favorite overlooked BW songs and recorded a "vocal-less" version. My guitar is simulating the lead vocal line. My inspiration was those "Easy Listening" jazz LPs from the 60s that covered the "big hits of the day." Add in some samples of the Roland Cr-78 drum machine for that extra retro flavor, and there you have it! It was a fun challenge that only took one sleepless night, and now I look forward to writing some of my own instrumentals.

I finally got this done! YES. Oh gee. This was undone for so long. It was in my external hard drive for months D: BUT TODAY. [Or you could say yesterday.] Everything was done & I decided to finally finish this. I didn't have any more distractions being that yesterday was my last day of school before we return for 2010. Yeee :D! The trip: IT WAS HOOOOOOT. OMFGG. IT WAS SO HUMID D8. In the middle of the video you could see me with messed up hair. & that's that's because I damped water all over my face. Oh gee it was so hot o_o. I tried to do everything to cool down. Being from foggy city San Francisco, I am not use to the heat D8. Anywho. My Sister got awsome footage of the players :D. We got really really close seats right IN FRONT of the Away/Giants dugout! It would be nice to have these seats at AT&T. But that would cost a fortune. To be honest, compared to the quarter full or sold out crowds at AT&T, the Great American Ballpark seemed really empty D: what happened to the Cincinnati Reds? My Dad told me in the 70s they would be called the Big Red Machine because of all the big hitters they had. And now . . . ? All their good players are either injured, gone/retired, or they traded him them away !! I hope the Reds can maintain another big fan base once again. I had a good time at the Great American Ballpark. It would be a shame to see so many empty red seats in the future :S. Till then, camerasandfabric
Of all the early breakthrough rock & roll artists, none is more important to the development of the music than Chuck Berry. He is its greatest songwriter, the main shaper of its instrumental voice, one of its greatest guitarists, and one of its greatest performers. Quite simply, without him there would be no Beatles, Rolling Stones, Beach Boys, Bob Dylan, nor a myriad others. There would be no standard "Chuck Berry guitar intro," the instrument's clarion call to get the joint rockin' in any setting. The clippety-clop rhythms of rockabilly would not have been mainstreamed into the now standard 4/4 rock & roll beat. There would be no obsessive wordplay by modern-day tunesmiths; in fact, the whole history (and artistic level) of rock & roll songwriting would have been much poorer without him. Like Brian Wilson said, he wrote "all of the great songs and came up with all the rock & roll beats." Those who do not claim him as a seminal influence or profess a liking for his music and showmanship show their ignorance of rock's development as well as his place as the music's first great creator. Elvis may have fueled rock & roll's imagery, but Chuck Berry was its heartbeat and original mindset. ________________________________________ I wanna be your driver, I wanna be your driver I would love to ride you, I would love to ride you around We'll be ready when you want me to drive you on downtown Yeah I wanna drive your, your long and beautiful Your rounded-body, wheel-to-roll ...

This was my third, (and final), film from when I was in film school. It is obvious from comparing this to the Liver Movie that I learned a thing or two while in school. It's about a scientist who builds a time machine in order to go back in time and undo something he'd done, (in a way...). Good, clean fun, (if you ignore all the blood). The film was shot on 16mm Kodak stock with synch sound. Though this film is of much higher quality, its popularity never surpassed that of '7 Things God® Wants You to Know about Your Liver." I guess time paradoxes aren't nearly as fun as watching someone drag a cow's liver down Grace Street. Oh well. Anyway, though I recognize a couple of flaws here, (which you probably won't even see), I'm proud of this. Enjoy. (For those wondering: the second film I made, 'House of Cards,' will be much, much harder to get up here. I think the original film is missing, and no good video version was ever made. I will likely have to do my best in restoring it from a shot-off-the-wall Hi8 version, which will suck... In the meantime, enjoy this one and the Liver movie) PS. If you would like to see this (or the liver movie) in full quality, there are some VHS copies floating around. If you live in Richmond, VA, you can rent a copy from Video Fan. If you live in Tacoma, WA, and vicinity, you can rent a copy from Stadium Video. If neither, I have a few copies... Even MORE Family Guy sound clips set to scenes from House, MD! While I was making my "Bird is the Word" House spoof, I noticed that the characters for both shows actually match each other on some levels. So, I decided to make some more spoofs that turn Chase into Stewie, Wilson into Brian, and most importantly, House into Peter! This took me FOREVER to get all the clips and match them up, etc., and then when I finally put it all together I discovered it was about 12 minutes long... oops. So I cut it down to this and will have the rest in a "leftovers" video. Anyway, I had a lot of fun making this, and I hope you have as much fun watching it!

For more Voice Box product info, see www.ehx.com The Voice Box packs a multi-functional vocal synth processor into a tough and compact chassis. Sing, and you'll have a troupe of backup singers following you in perfect harmony. Or use the built-in vocoder to unleash classic synth-robot sounds. Diana Ross had the Supremes, Brian Wilson had the Beach Boys, Kraftwerk had The Robots. You have the Voice Box. The harmony processor creates 2- to 4-part harmonies directly from your vocals, in the same key as your accompanying instrument. Studio-quality reverb lets you independently add depth to your dry and harmony vocals. The focused 256-band articulate vocoder, designed by the same EMS genius who made vocoding famous, features adjustable harmonic enhancement and controllable formant shift. Plug in your mic and your instrument, and let your new voice -- or voices -- be heard! * Harmonically matches any electric instrument you plug into it * Professional quality pitch shifting algorithm produces realistic harmonies * The Low & High Harmony independently produces two harmony notes: 3rd and 5th * 9 accessible programmable presets * Natural Glissando * Gender Bender knob allows for male/female formant modification * Built-In Mic Pre with Phantom Power & Gain Switch * Balanced XLR Line Output: Interface directly with any mixing board or A/D converter * US96DC-200BI power supply included
