Music score by Geoffrey Burgon for the UK TV drama series Brideshead Revisited, based on the 1945 novel by Evelyn Waugh.
Brideshead Revisited, The Sacred & Profane Memories of Captain Charles Ryder is a novel by the English writer Evelyn Waugh, first published in 1945. Waugh wrote that the novel "deals with what is theologically termed 'the operation of Grace', that is to say, the unmerited and unilateral act of love by which God continually calls souls to Himself". This is achieved by an examination of the Catholic aristocratic Marchmain family, as seen by the narrator, Charles Ryder.
A gentle friendship of Lord Sebastian Flyte and Mr. Charles Ryder.
Original score composed & produced by Adrian Johnston. Performed by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.

The song's called "Arcadia", composed by Adrian Johnston for the Brideshead revisited film (2008)sountrack. I do not own this!
Disclaimer: I own NOTHING. This was not made for profit, merely for fun. Just a short vid depicting the turbulent world of the Marchmain family and how they are alternately "shattered" and saved by their ties to the Catholic Church as well as by their ties to each other. Mostly Sebastian and Julia centric with a little Lady Marchmain and Charles. Watch in HQ if possible.

Granada's Brideshead Revisited is a true gem, with an ensemble of great acting from ALL the actors - everyone was just perfect and gave very accurate rendering of Waugh's original characters, from the leads to minor roles like Samgrass, Rex, Mulcaster... Gielgud, Olivier, and Claire Bloom are just so effortlessly good, up to their usual par; I especially think Bloom did an outstanding job playing a very difficult role, she had that exact "voice as quiet as a prayer and as powerful." And Nickolas Grace deserves a special ovation for his extraordinary performance as Anthony Blanch!

Hilarious scene from Brideshead Revisited - Episode 3 - "The Bleak Light of Day" where Charles, Sebastian and Boy Mulcaster visit The Old Hundreth Nightclub and are approached by a pair of slappers (Death's Head and Sickly Child). Watch for the line "They're only faaaaaiiiiiries!!!". Great scene, enjoy!!

Scene from Brideshead Revisited - Episode 1 - "Et In Arcadia Ego" where Charles first sets eyes on Sebastian. He then learns more about Sebastian and finally sees him with Anthony Blanche in the pub.
