Louis Fremaux conducts the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Cecile Ousset is one of my favourite pianists and I have a great deal of recordings including, like this one, some very rare live performances. A Formula 1 pit stop in Parliament Square! Mark Webber, and the Red Bull Racing team, rocked up in London at 6am for a bit of pit stop practice before the British Grand Prix. The team stunned passers by with a full F1 pit stop in Parliament Square, London
Sebastian Vettel led every lap around the streets of Valencia to give Red Bull something to celebrate after losing Mark Webber early in the race following a 1-2 start.The two McLaren drivers came home second and third with Lewis Hamilton finishing second despite a drive-through penalty and Jenson Button making it home third after a very patient race, spent mostly behind the tail of Kamui Kobayashi's BMW Sauber. Rubens Barrichello and Williams will be happy at scoring fourth ahead of Robert Kubica's Renault and Adrian Sutil's Force India. Kobayashi went almost the entire race without his mandatory pit stop, eventually being forced to come in for a change in rubber, which dropped him from third to ninth. However, the Japanese driver showed tremendous skill in going past Fernando Alonso and Sebastien Buemi on the final lap to finish seventh. Alonso was promoted to 8th position after Buemi served a penalty which dropped him to 9th place while Pedro de la Rosa dropped from 10th to 12th place. This promotes Nico Rosberg to 10th place for Mercedes GP. This is my rendition of the beautiful Katie Melua song "Closest Thing To Crazy" it's a little different to the original for obvious reasons....I hope the male voice works. I love the lyrics in the song. Katie Melua was born in Georgia (former USSR) in 1984, growing up under the communist regime in the capital, Tbilisi. The family left Georgia when Katie was eight and moved to Belfast where her father got a job as a heart surgeon. Katie didnt always want to be a singer or songwriter. Her ambition when she was thirteen was to be a politician or a historian I honestly thought Id be able to bring peace to the world...if I ruled it! The family lived in Belfast for five years before moving to South East London. After her GCSEs, Katie joined the Brit School for Performing Arts where she undertook a BTEC and Music A-level. Composer/producer Mike Batt paid a visit to the school. Katie signed to Batts record label Dramatico, but stayed at the Brit School to complete her studies where she graduated with distinction in July 2003. Unable to secure a contract with a Major record company, Katie and Mike decided to put her album Call Off The Search (containing the song The Closest Thing To Crazy) out on Batts own, small record label.
