www.SecretRecipe.us I always wanted to improve my cooking despite the fact that I am very bad at it, and nothing seems to come out well out of my hands. But I still got my hope and decided to start looking for some good recipes (what I mean by this is something that tastes good even with my clumsy skills). And I think I might have found it. I absolutely love restaurant food and the spices they use to make it so much different from what we make at home. I always wondered what made it so delicious despite the fact that we use the seemingly same ingredients at home, with worse results. Then I found a recipe book written by Ron Douglas, named (conveniently) "America's Secret Recipes", that advertised the fact that the book held restaurant secrets and recipes that the billion dollar companies like KFC, Pizza Hut, Red Lobster and many others are trying to keep away from the public. Who doesn't want to learn how to cook up a Pizza Hut house special huh? Yes, the book has it's share of Pizza Recipes and deserts! Yeah, actually I always wanted to know how they make those exceptionally tasty Tiramisu cakes. I always had it in for those. http The book also tries to make use of easy recipes in a sense of presenting the recipes by their signature companies, for example if you're looking for KFC specials, you will find them all in one spot so you don't need to read every recipe in the book to actually find what you're looking for. Overall, the book is worth that special price tag I got ...
Preview of Gadelle's blog at TravelPod. Read the full blog here: www.travelpod.com This blog preview was made by TravelPod using the TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow creator. Entry from: Shimabara, Japan Entry Title: "Broiled Alive In the City of Water" Entry: "Even a good night's sleep was not sufficient for our stomachs to recover, but we nonetheless squared our shoulders and, after a dip in the onsen, went down to breakfast. Unlike the previous night's feast, breakfast was served in a common room by the lobby; there were two other guests there at the time, both middle-aged men. One was watching the news on television, and he quickly finished his meal and left. The other one, however, turned out to be of a friendlier persuasion, and soon engaged us in conversation. It turned out he was a monk who did readings and presentations of children's stories, and whose company produced little books with movable characters to illustrate the stories. He had some copies with him, and as thanks for us teaching him how to tell the story of The Three Little Pigs in English, he gave us each a copy. Those unexpected little things make travelling so much fun: how many of you can say you've had a Japanese monk repeat, "Not by the hair on my chinny chin chin," over and over, to get the rhythm and the intonation right? [Amusing note: in Japanese, chin-chin is slang for "penis".] Our meal over, we packed our things and sadly said farewell to our lovely Lotus Blossom room, and to Fred the palm ...

You might prefer the lamb, or the medallions of beef and veal tenderloin. Chef Franz offers fresh Bermuda wahoo, jumbo scallops or shrimp and lobster tails broiled Bermuda style with savoury stuffing and drawn butter.
