What you see in this video is a natural brown recluse spider trap. To make this trap, use 1 small size cup and one "Spitting Spider". Place the spitting spider inside the cup and put a lid which will allow air in for the spitting spider. Keep the spider in long enough to let it build a small 4 to 8 strand web and establish it as her home. When night time approaches, place the cup where brown recluses will crawl next to a wall, and remove the lid and make sure you don't aggitate the spitting spider in any way, other wise she will leave the cup and find a new spot to set up. When a brown recluse detects her, he will slowly move towards her, and she will detect him also by the strands of her web. She will approach him and spit venomous silk and cause the brown recluse to get stuck to the cups surface. This video will show you that the recluse is stuck. He can't get away no matter how hard he tries. She eventually bites him several times to put him out.

I already knew this spider was in my apartment and was glad to finally find it 2 days later. My first encounter was feeling it crawling on my neck. I quickly brushed it off but couldn't find the critter. I knew it was a recluse just by the feel of it walking on me. 2 nights later I was watching a video of one of my spiders, then I saw movement to my left, and sure enough it was the brown recluse wandering around looking for a mate or a meal. The males do much more wandering than the females do.

I hope there isn't any Brown Recluse Karma out there... :-\ INFO ABOUT BROWN RECLUSE SPIDERS: www epestsupply com/spiders php The brown recluse spider, (loxosceles reclusa), can also inflict a very dangerous bite. The initial pain associated with the bite is not intense, and is generally less troublesome than a bee sting. Within 8 to 12 hours the pain becomes quite intense, and over a period of a few days a large ulcerous sore forms. This sore heals very slowly and often leaves a large, ugly disfiguring scar. The brown recluse is soft-bodied and secretive species found in homes and other outbuildings. The adult body varies from 1/3- to 1/2inch in length, with the arrangement of the legs producing a larger overall size of 1 inch diameter or greater. The body is yellow to dark brown, and has a rather distinctive darker brown violin shaped mark on the top of the cephalothorax. Recluse Spiders are often colored tan, but can be dark brown to almost white in appearance. The Brown Recluse Spider has been widely reported in the southern, western, and mid western United States, and is a particularly serious pest in Oklahoma, Missouri, and surrounding states. It is usually found indoors, particularly in bathrooms, bedrooms, closets, garages, basements, and cellars. In homes with forced hot-air heating and air conditioning and often above-ceiling ductwork, brown recluse ...

*Youtube has its own compression and my original video quality was exceptional. I apologize for those who cannot see the images clearly enough to use them. Below you will find extra links to information and images. ___________________________________________ The Brown Recluse specimen appearing in my video is the Loxosceles reclusa. The best-known species, the brown recluse spider, Loxosceles reclusa, inhabits many Southern and Midwestern states. Recluse spiders are frequently found in garages, firewood piles, cluttered cellars and stored board piles. They often live around human dwellings, in bathrooms, bedrooms and closets, under furniture, behind baseboards and door facings, or in corners and crevices. Recluse spiders are most active at night when they hunt. People are sometimes bitten while asleep, apparently when rolling over on a spider while in bed. Others are bitten when putting on clothes that have hung undisturbed for a long time and where spiders are hiding. The brown recluse is a small-bodied, medium-sized spider whose outstretched legs span little more than the diameter of a quarter. It is almost uniformly brown and without banded legs or other prominent markings -- except for the dark violin-shaped mark on its cephalothorax, just behind its eyes. Unlike most spiders, the brown recluse has six eyes arranged in three pairs, instead of the usual eight. Brown recluse are hunting spiders that wander at night in search of prey. Females make retreats in which they ...
