I.The Importance of Communication (Introduction) a.Communication is extremely important. The way a person communicates can affect the relationships in that persons life. A person can make an enemy or a friend, land a job or lose a job; just by the way he or she communicates a message. b.Every human being communicates, sometimes even unknowingly. We use language, whether it is English, Spanish, ASL, or German, as well as context, non-verbal cues, and prosody. So what exactly is communication? II.What is Communication? a.Grammar and Structure i.Every Language has a set of rules, called grammar. These rules dictate how to use the language to convey a message. For instance: English is a syntactic Language (Danesi, 2009) meaning that word order is important. The boy loves the girl and The girl loves the boy convey two different meanings by only changing the order of the words. b.Prosody i.Aside from grammar, the meaning of the message is also conveyed using what is called prosody. Prosody, in general, is everything other than the words or the signs you are using. English, intonation is prosody. The words you went to the store can be conveyed as a statement, a question, or even an accusation depending on the intonation used. [examples: You went to the store. You went to the store? (simple question) You went to the store? (accusation, ie Why would you go to the store? We have everything you need here!)] c.Lingustic Registers i.The way we communicate with others changes based on ...
This video shows the AGV's open loop control with a WiFi modem from a Laptop to form a square. The starting positions and turning are marked. This was carried out by me for Btech progress in the Dept. of Aerospace engineering IIT Kharagpur.During the whole path the bot receives motorboard command from a linux based laptop at a rate of 16 Hz .Next aim is to fabricate a custom optical position sensor to get direct position feedback. Odometry can be used for feedback but does not help because of its inherent inaccuracies.
SANJEEV SHARMA: B.Tech. 3rd Year. IIT Roorkee. Part -2 of Lecture 5 in Machine Learning. Exponential Family Distribution & Sufficient Statistics. In this lecture I will cover the general distribution family ie exponential. Almost every distribution can be represented in the form of Exponential Family Distribution. In the first part, I will show you the step wise derivation of SUFFICIENT STATISTICS, then I will show you how to represent GAUSSIAN and BERNOULLI Distributions in the form of exponential family distribution. SANJEEV SHARMA, B.Tech Electrical 3rd Year IIT Roorkee: 23rd Novomber 2009. ELLIPSOIDAL SURFACES FOR DISCRIMINATION & MVE Part 2. This presentation is not directly on path planning but it is intended to give you an overview of two methods known as Ellipsoidal Surfaces and Lowner-John (Minimum Volume) Ellipsoids. Ellipsoidal surface is designed by setting constraint on your P matrix and quadratic expression. Minimum Volume Ellipsoid of a set C, is the ellipsoid covering the Convex Hull of set C. Therefore finding a minimum volume ellipsoid can be cast as a Convex Problem. Finding Ellipsoidal Surface can be cast as a Feasibility SDP Problem. This lecture will give you an overview of how to combine the two algorithms and use for outlier detection and discrimination of two classes and will form the base for upcoming lectures. In the first part itself, I provided 2 algorithms which will be discussed later ie Least Squares and SVM Formulations. Also research paper on Support Vector Path Planning will be discussed soon.

The documentary - Cho Seung Hui, South Korean student at Virginia Tech University, committed a mass murder of 32 people and wounded 25 others in the shooting rampage which has come to be known as the Virginia Tech massacre. Cho killed himself after law enforcement officers breached the doors of the building where he had killed and injured the majority of his victims. Cho arrived in US at a young age with his family. He has a severe form of anxiety disorder known as selective mutism in middle school and depression. During Cho's last two years at Virginia Tech, several instances of his aberrant behaviour, as well as plays and other writings he submitted containing references to violence, caused concern among teachers and classmates.

My B.Tech final year project at IIT Roorkee-"Design and Control of Co-operative Space Robots". In this video space robots are transferring an object form one space coordinate to another in a plane. Little manual interference is there as 100% accuracy can't be achieved.
