Recorded July 20, 2009 between 11:30pm - 12:00am Canmore, Alberta, Canada No sound. Steady speed. Light vanished 3/4 of the way thru the night sky. Anyone seen anything like this in their skies?
Friday, July 17, 2009 Between 11:30 & 11:35pm Canmore, Alberta, Canada
Filmed between 11:30pm and 1:00am July 16-17th No sound. Travelled in a straight line. Too bright to be a satellite. Did not respond when I shined my green laser pointer at it.
Filmed between 12:30 - 1:00am MST on July 13, 2009 This time I was waiting and ready. I saw this orb and it saw me. I had my Sony DCR-TRV900 video camera with directional electret condenser microphone trained on it from the moment I saw it to the moment it "shut off". The object appeared a solid color, no sound that I could hear or record. Wasn't "speeding" thru the sky, just moving at a constant medium speed. I am going to invest in a prosumer HD video camera as soon as I can afford it. This is important stuff, and I plan on documenting it as much as possible. Who's with me?
Filmed between 12-12:30am on July 7, 2009 I was out shutting off my BBQ after having accidentally left it on and when I looked up I saw this orange ball looking thing traveling at an impressive speed. I ran into my house and found my video camera. Back on the patio, now with a video camera, I managed to capture the last few seconds of it in the sky. The object disappeared as if someone turned off the light. The color was orange but it seemed as if the light were in a blender getting mixed with blue. Pulsating orange and blue and blue and orange and so on. Never seen anything like this before.
This is me introducing the 2009 Tour Divide Race showing the balloons that I tied to add some colour and surprise the riders and starting off with Rebound Cycling water bottle logo. Just fart'n around having fun.....as I LOVE this race enormously. It is a true testament to John Stamstead original feat '99 of cycling the entire Divide Race in only 19 days! Although I do not know John well I consider him a friend. To achieve his time, Stamstad barreled along the spine of the Rockies with little more than a sleeping bag and some water, purchasing junk food at the occasional grocery store and logging a measly four or five hours of sleep each night. This month, he contemplates continuing his extended affair with jaw-dropping endurance quests by riding across Africa for the Travel Channel. "I'll have to miss 24 Hours of Moab," the soon-to-be cable star concedes. "But I'd just like something a bit more adventurous." His undying enthusiasm for cycling is somewhat similar to that of my own. He his native to many cycling events including the famous 24 hours of Adrenaline Race. Always up for the ride John is testimony to the Tour Divides enduring ways and seemingly endless miles of self discovery self sufficiency. I will miss his camaraderie and him at all the 24 hour Adrenaline Race events and TransRockies Challenge Races I go to every year! Crazy Larry
