The man accused of gunning down former US Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, a prominent military sniper, and a second man at a Texas shooting range has been arraigned on two counts of capital murder, the Texas Department of Public Safety said on Sunday. Eddie Ray Routh, 25, was accused of killing Kyle, 38, and Chad Littlefield, 35, a neighbor of Kyle, on Saturday afternoon at the Rough Creek Lodge, about 50 miles southwest of Fort Worth, the department said. "They were shot at close range," said department spokesman Sergeant Lonny Haschel said. Kyle, considered one of America's deadliest snipers after killing 160 people during his career as US Navy SEAL sniper, wrote the book "American Sniper" about his military service from 1999 to 2009. Routh, described in local media reports as a former Marine who suffered from post traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD), was arrested at his Lancaster, Texas home several hours after the shooting, having led police on a chase in his pickup truck. "He was taken into custody after a brief pursuit," Haschel said. According to a posting on a website run by members of the Special Operations Forces community, Kyle had been volunteering his time to help Marine Corps veterans suffering from PTSD and mentoring them. "Part of this process involved taking these veterans to the range," said the posting on SOFREP.com. WFAA-TV in Dallas-Fort Worth reported that the two men had taken Routh to the shooting range for the day to help him deal with his PTSD. Routh was ...
"Students in Texas' public schools are still learning that the Bible provides scientific evidence that the Earth is 6000 years old, that astronauts have discovered "a day missing in space in elapsed time" that affirms biblical stories of the sun standing still and moving backwards, and that the United States was founded as a Christian nation based on biblical Christian principles."* Texas public schools are teaching creationism in schools. It's not a balanced religious studies class either- strictly Christian lessons are being taught, even pushed in the schools. How is this teaching allowable? Would a similarly-structured Islam class be okay? A natural athlete, this brunette bombshell was an excellent high school high jumper well on her way to becoming an Olympic prospect before she was discovered by a fashion scout at the age of 16 during a school trip to Bucharest. The scout convinced Catrinel Menghia that she belonged on the catwalk and, with her parents' permission, she relocated to the Romanian capital several months later to begin her career in earnest. She is now one of the planet's preeminent lingerie models thanks to her tantalizing appearances in publications such as Maxim, FHM, Stuff, Fitness, One, and the South African version of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, which she graced in 2006. PART 1 of Justin Jones, 19-year-old teen committed in the murder of Don Morrow, FULL jailhouse interview. Facing a capital murder charge, Justin Jones can be serving life without parole. Do you believe him in his PCP-laced memory loss claims? whether or not, things get interesting around the 4:20 minute mark, when sadden by quilt and regret, the cameras get a glimpse at a vulnerable Justin. Some are saying the interviewer, Mr. James Rosen, was antagonizing Justin Jones for an ill-willed reaction which he was awarded during the final few minutes of discussion found in PART 5 of the Jailhouse Interview. Others adding that his snarling comments and resilient attitude to separate his emotions from the interview seemed unprofessional, and provoked a vibe of tying to play "prosecutor". "Police said 19-year-old Justin Jones committed a string of robberies last week and then shot and killed 36-year-old Don Morrow in the Sherlock's Pub parking lot. Morrow was trying to help two friends who were being robbed. From behind bars, Jones admitted to the shooting and a previous robbery, but said he doesn't remember much because he said he smoked PCP before the crime spree. Austin, Texas - USA The 2012 season sees Formula One racing return to the United States for the first time since 2007 with an all-new venue in Austin, Texas. The Circuit of The Americas will be the first purpose-built F1 facility in the US designed for any and all classes of racing. Its signature element will be a 5.5-kilometre (3.4-mile) Grand Prix circuit, located in Wandering Creek, southeast of the Texan capital, and designed by the much-respected Hermann Tilke in collaboration with American architectural firm HKS. The 20-turn, anticlockwise track, construction of which began in January 2011, draws inspiration from the best circuits around the world, as well as taking advantage of the site's natural topography to include dramatic elevation changes of up to 40 metres. There is a steep, uphill run into the hairpin Turn One, which is expected to become the venue's signature corner. Turns Three through Six look not dissimilar to Silverstone's high-speed Maggotts/Becketts; Turns 12 through 15 give a nod to Hockenheim's stadium section; and Turns 16 through 18 will mirror the famous, multi-apex Turn Eight at Istanbul Park. The proposed grandstands, semi-permanent stands and natural seating areas will enable over 120000 fans to attend the Grand Prix, but the circuit is only one part of the multi-functional 900-acre site. Support buildings will include a medical facility, 14 executive meeting suites, a conference centre and a banquet hall, as well as an expansive outdoor live ...
DemocracyNow.org - In a rare interview, former Texas death row prisoner Anthony Graves joins us to recount his experience in solitary confinement, and how he was fully exonerated and released from prison in 2010. Graves was convicted in 1994 of assisting Robert Carter, a man he barely knew, in the brutal murders of six people. There was no physical evidence linking Graves to the crime, and his conviction relied primarily on Carter's testimony. Before he was executed, Carter twice admitted he had lied about Graves's involvement in the crime. In 2006, an appeals court overturned Graves's conviction and ordered a new trial, saying prosecutors had elicited false statements and withheld testimony. After 18 years in prison, most of them on death row, Graves was exonerated and reunited with his family after a special prosecutor concluded he was an innocent man. Graves is now an active member of the movement to abolish the death penalty. "My experience was hell," Graves says. "I always liken it to something that you would consider to be your worst nightmare. I had to go through that experience every day for 18-and-a-half years and it was just no way to live." Urging an end to the death penalty, Graves says: "They're killing in your name, and I say to you stand up and tell these people, 'Not in my name anymore.'" Link to full hearing mentioned by Dr. Paul: is.gd RonPaul2012.com http DailyPaul.com http RunRonPaul.com The Fed Mend It or End It? by Ron Paul Last week I held a hearing to examine the various proposals that have been put forth both to mend and to end the Fed. The purpose was to spur a vigorous and long-lasting discussion about the Fed's problems, hopefully leading to concrete actions to rein in the Fed. First, it is important to understand the Federal Reserve System. Some people claim it is a secret cabal of elite bankers, while others claim it is part of the federal government. In reality it is a bit of both. The Federal Reserve System is the collusion of big government and big business to profit at the expense of taxpayers. The Fed's bailout of large banks during the financial crisis propped up poorly-run corporations that should have gone under, giving them a market-distorting advantage that no business in the United States should receive. The recent news about JP Morgan is a case in point. JP Morgan, a recipient of $25 billion in bailout money, recently announced it lost another $2 billion. If a corporation shows itself to be a bottomless money pit of "errors, sloppiness and bad judgment," the Fed shouldn't have expected $25 billion in free money to change that or teach anyone a lesson in fiscal discipline. But it determined that this form of deliberate capital destruction was preferable to one business suffering bankruptcy. Clearly, some changes need to be made ...

LA's Capital Cities arrive with a little sonic head rush called 'Safe and Sound', an easy, breezy, beautiful slice of effervescent electro-pop that even comes complete with a massive 'trumpets-in-da-club' bit that absolutely kills it. (Neon Gold) The song has catchy indie stylings and features the beloved vintage Juno-106 keyboard that gives the production such a comforting retro vibe. (Arjan Writes) It's a scorcher bound to make your dance-infused taste buds sizzle. The music swarms with outside-of-the-box tendencies, jam-packed full of life, energy and unusual yet fantastic sounds. (Clixie) Recording original, high-quality songs is one thing, but the ability to perform them live with passion, energy and a great, unique sound is a completely different beast. Capital Cities have both down to a science. (The Chuckness) They controlled the audience with addictive beats that caused strangers to dance with each other. Everyone sang along throughout the night regardless if they were first-time listeners. (Campus Circle) In 2008, Ryan Merchant found Sebu Simonian on craigslist in his search for a collaborator. The two formed a composing team, and in 2010, they began producing material for Capital Cities. The band's debut EP was released in June, 2011 on Lazy Hooks, and soon after, lead single 'Safe and Sound' shot to #2 on Hype Machine and charted #1 on CMJ's A&R unsigned spin chart. Capital Cities have played numerous sold-out shows in their hometowns of Los Angeles and San ...

This video highlights what Alex calls a 'citizen's filibuster'; an attempt to force another special session in the Texas legislature to keep the TSA anti-groping bill on the table while rejecting the newer bill which compromises our guaranteed fourth amendment protections. On June 27 2011, aided by several hundred angry citizens at the Texas capital, Alex Jones made it perfectly clear to the Senate that we're not going to allow the TSA to molest Texas anymore. Texas Governor Rick Perry is proving to be one the most duplicitous politicians yet by putting the TSA anti-groping bill on the table and then killing it behind the scenes during a special session. The Texas house was set to pass a much softer version of the original bill. This new toothless resolution will be framed as a victory against the TSA when really the resolution will bolster the TSA's actions.

The bill's sponsor Sen. Dan Patrick revealed that Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst was behind a move to kill the bill without "leaving fingerprints" on behalf of the Obama Administration. Supporters of the bill sent a message to the Texas Senate even after being barred from entry, shouting from the halls "criminals" and "treason" while decrying the tyrannical mission creep of the unconstitutional TSA. The bill would have expressly declared it a crime for TSA or security personnel to reach into the pants or touch the genitals of passengers or other innocent bystanders.
