This Is It was originally the name of a series of 50 concerts scheduled for what would be the comeback of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, which had begun on July 8, 2009 at the O2 Arena in London, and had ended March 6, 2010. However, on June 25, 2009, two weeks before the first show of the tour, Jackson suffered a cardio-respiratory arrest and died. (The official report called the death of Jackson caused by the combination of tranquilizers, which is the prime suspect Conrad Murray, his personal physician.) The concerts would be the first Michael Jackson Live from Special: 30th Anniversary Michael Jackson as a soloist in 2001 at Madison Square Garden and would have been the most important musical end of the decade. Each presentation at the O2 Arena has a maximum capacity of 23000 spectators, it was estimated that more than one million people had seen the show. Randy Phillips, president and chief executive of AEG Live, announced that only the first 10 concerts of the tour had raised approximately around US $ 50 million dollar, 50 concerts have raised about US $ 200 million dollars. It is said that the first innings of the tour were sold in just 4 hours.

Aquino's presidency saw the restoration of democratic institutions in the Philippines, through the enactment of a new Constitution which limited the powers of the presidency, restored the bicameral Congress, and renewed emphasis on civil liberties. Her administration was likewise hampered by several military coup attempts by disaffected members of the Philippine military which derailed a return to full political stability and economic development. In events that gripped the world in 1986, up to 1 million people waving rosaries and flowers stopped Marcos' tanks advancing toward Aquino-backed army rebels. Former Philippine President Corazon Aquino, icon of people power in the Philippines and around the world, passed away at 3:18 am Saturday, her son, Senator Benigno Aquino III, said. The official cause of death was cardiorespiratory arrest. The 76-year-old Aquino was diagnosed with colon cancer in March of last year and was treated with chemotherapy. Last May, she underwent surgery to remove parts of her colon and was brought to the Makati Medical Center (MMC) in June due to loss of appetite. She never left the hospital, as her declining condition sparked a wave of emotion in the country and prompted the widespread appearance of yellow ribbons - on trees, car antennas, and even the Web. "She would have wanted us to thank each and everyone of you for all your continued love and support. It was her wish for all of us to pray for one another and for our country," Senator Aquino said.
