If you're a college basketball fan, you're probably buying a dart board with Jim Delany's face on it. Who's Jim Delany you ask? He happens to be the commissioner of the Big Ten. This big wig loser says that it is "probable" that the NCAA will expand their college basketball tournament from 64 to 96 teams. The issue will be discussed during an April 29th meeting in Indianapolis (ironically where this year's Final Four is). March Madness is one of the most anticipated events in the sporting year in America. Almost everyone fills out a bracket. It works out perfectly when you balance out power conference teams and non-power conference teams. This would butcher it completely! As if we didn't know this before, it's another confirmation that the NCAA doesn't care about "student-athletics". They complain about college kids being out of class too long so why are they planning to expand what is already a perfect thing by a week. The NCAA Tourney unlike the BCS ain't broke--Don't Fix It! They're so negative when it comes to giving us the NCAA 8, 12, or 16 team playoff that WE WANT but want to change what is already a perfect thing (something we DO NOT want). Not even Northwestern's coach, Bill Carmody wants it, according to the Chi Trib. The obvious reason for all of this is money. The NCAA wants more money from TV ...
