Today, my family and I went downtown Chicago and went to go see the filming of TF3!!!! This is a short clip of the crew and the various new cars on TF3!!!!!!!! and a better look at the Wreckers (the nascars) and the mysterious purple mercedes
Transformers 3 was shooting scenes on LaSalle in Chicago. I in no way shape or form own the music used. Go to itunes and download it, it's good stuff.
www.collecticon.org This was filmed July 11, 2010 on Jackson street in Chicago, IL. As you can see, Optimus Prime has a trailer and it has been dirtied up quite a bit. It will be fun to see what the toy version of this turns out to be!
Shot from the 42nd floor at 225 N Columbus. 5 jumpers in squirrel suits jumped from a helicopter and landed in the Lakeshore East park. It did appear that one jumper struggled to maintain control and nearly missed the aqua building, once landed a few workers rushed over to him...after a few minutes he seemed fine though. They took three shots of this scene on Sunday, July 11th from 7am - 10am.

The filming of Transformers 3. The torn up street, seen in the middle of the video, is Lasalle street. The street has chunks of sidewalk at least 11 feet high, and mounds of cars, many of which were on fire. The NASCARs twords the end of the video are totally decked out, and drivable. As soon as the shoot with them was finshed, they were covered with gray tarp and pushed away. This video was uploaded from an Android phone.

I went to Chicago for the weekend.So on the 4 of July I went to the firework show.
4th of July Fireworks - Navy Pier - July 4, 2010 - Chicago, IL USA (3). Beside a not so good location, the 15-minute show was without event. Crowd was orderly and dispersed immediately afterwards. Lots of tourists and suburban people in the audience. This is part one of the actual fireworks.

Two days of an open casting call for extras were held on Friday June 4th, and Saturday June 5th. Over 1400 applicants arrived on Friday and the total for Saturday is currently unknown, but by the looks of the video, about another 500-800 people were waiting, drenched in rain, by 10 AM.
