As we all know, Apple decided to come out with their own version of multitasking in iOS4. The problem is that it's not "true" multitasking. In this tutorial, I will explain how to use Apple's multitasking bar with Backgrounder. This disables Apple's multitasking and replaces it with Backgrounder's multitasking. This is great for older iDevices with 128MB RAM (iPod touch 1G, iPod touch 2G, iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G) because they don't support Apple's multitasking but it will still work perfectly using this method. ---------------------------------------- Steps: 1. Open Cydia and download Backgrounder 2. Open Backgrounder and go to Global. Make sure "Backgrounder" is checked as 'Backgrounding Method' and "Fall Back to Native" is TURNED OFF 3. SSH into the directory: /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app 4. Locate the N72AP.plist (or N82AP.plist) 5. Backup the .plist file. Edit your .plist in any text editing software and add the following key after {dict} and before {/dict}: {key}multitasking{/key} {true/} Replace { and } with the rotated ^ (SHIFT + comma key and SHIFT+ period key) 6. Copy the newly edited .plist file back to the directory on your iDevice (OR save it if you edited it straight from your SSH client) and REBOOT. 7. Open Cydia and download a package, "Remove Recents". 8. Quick demonstration of one of the multitasking apps called Circuitous. The activation methods of pulling up the app-switcher can modified in all sorts of ways. I've chosen to activate Circuitous by using the swipe-up gesture from the right side of the screen. The swipe-up gesture from the left side of the screen activates LastApp, which allows to switch back and forth from one app to the other. The clip was very brief, I apologise but I'm sure this description will explain it more clearly.

Circuitous a multiple app switcher for the iPhone has been ported to the iPad and is now available now for FREE via cydia at the bigboss repo. You need backgrounder for this to work obv :p

Here is a short demo of the Backgrounder switching app, Circuitous. This app gives different options for seeing what apps you have backgrounded, and a different way to cycle through them. In this demo the Circuitous dock is activated by sliding in from the bottom let up. The cycler is activated by holding the status bar. There are many more options for controling Circuitous. It is a free download from Cydia, for jailbroken iPhones and iPod Touches.

Circuitous is a custom app switcher. It shows your open applications in a nice dock on the right side of the screen, you can launch and exit apps from there. Also, you can cyclye through your open apps. With this I mean the apps you have open, in the order you opened them, are cycled. They open the next app in line. There is forward and backward cycling in this version! All three of these features, the dock, cycling forward, and cycling backward are all managed by Activator methods within the package called libactivator. The application can be installed free from the Tweaks section of Cydia.
What this is ,is another dock tweak on the right side of the screen very easy to use so have fun! EDIT what this is , is an alternative to Proswittcher(palm pre like scroling) and is much quicker,stylish, and asthetically appealing than proswitcher
