Ok here is the full video of how I took the computer apart, I finally got that darn screw out and now I got to the motherboard in this video, here is how it looks, all you will have to do is take screws out where ever you see them, and your good money.
Ok here is a video of me showing you how to take off the monitor and keyboard of your Compaq presario CQ 60. Remember to take out all of the screws from the back of your laptop, even the ones in the battery area. Note: I shot this video in Macro mode, so sorry if it's a bit blurry, however I do hold the laptop up to the screen for you to see it, so you should be able to see everything clearly. Make sure to Ground your self or wear a static wrist strap.

My dad's home computer, in nearly daily use since he bought it new in 1999 at PC Richard's. Here are the original specs: h10025.www1.hp.com I upgraded it with an extra 128 MB of RAM (for a total of 192 MB) and a Zip drive, but otherwise the hardware is pretty much original. It has been absolutely 100% reliable and is even still running the original Compaq OEM installation of Windows 98 (first edition) and Office 97. He has a current computer at work, but at home this Compaq still does what he needs it to do. It has outlasted three HP color inkjet printers and now for the time being is paired with a trusty old HP LaserJet 4L.

Ok this is part two of the guide. I took off the monitor and removed the keyboard. However I just could get to my motherboard because of a small screw that I can not reach with my current screwdriver, I didn't mean for the this dissasinle to come out like this. I want'ed to take out all of the parts. lol don't worry. I'm getting a smaller screwdriver, so then I'll get the motherboard out. so yeah, pretty much all you have to do is take out a ton of screws and that is it. I mean who couldn't take out a few screws. well not a few, it's more like 1 billion. lol no lie. Make sure to take out all of the screws. or you'll have problems. and if you can make a video response I'll be glad to add it.

And this was the first time ever I took this model of laptop apart. as you can see what happens in the part two video. Had this old pc given to me it had windows 98 on it but two user names which were passworded so I decided to format the Hard drive and put windows 95 on it took me almost two days to find the sound and graphics drivers.As my windows 95 disk wasnt the upgrade disk there was only one sound in the sounds section in the control panel so I copied some of my xp sounds off my computer and put them on thiis windows 95 pc. 600mb HD and 40mb ram think this computer is 14 or 15 years old
