Jerry Tessendorf is a Principal Graphics Scientist at Rhythm and Hues Studios, where he is also the technical lead for FX and simulation software development. He shared with three other members of Rhythm and Hues in 2008 a Technical Achievement Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for the custom fluid dynamics tools developed within the studio. Emily Zolfaghari is currently a senior at La Reina High School. Shes involved in numerous extra-curricular activities from volunteering at Los Robles Hospital to participating in student government. Emily is particularly interested in the debate team and the science fair, both of which she has competed and placed in at the State of California level. Dr. JoAnn Kuchera-Morin is a composer, Professor of Media Arts and Technology and Music, and a researcher in multi-modal media systems, content and facilities design. She created, built, and designed the Center for Research in Electronic Art Technology and she has served as the Centers Director since its inception in 1986. Her years of experience in digital media research led to the creation of a multi-million dollar sponsored research program for the University of California—the Digital Media Innovation Program. She was Chief Scientist of the Program from 1998 to 2003. In 1999 she, along with her colleagues, established the Graduate Program in Media Arts and Technology and served as Chair of the Program from 1999 to 2005. In 2000 she began the creation, design, and development of a Digital Media Center within the California Nanosystems Institute. The culmination of her design is the Allosphere Research Laboratory, a three-story metal sphere inside an echo-free cube, designed for immersive, interactive scientific and artistic investigation of multi-dimensional data sets. Student and professional artist Hogan Fulton performs at TEDxConejo Hogan Fulton is a freshman at Thousand Oaks High School. He has been dancing since the age of five and has trained in styles of dance including jazz, tap, hip-hop, ballet, and contemporary. At the age of seven, he began competing as a member of the Expression Dance Company at Bobbies School of Performing Arts and continues to take dance classes there during the week. In the last four years, he has studied ballet at California Dance Theatre while performing in many of their productions through Pacific Festival Ballet including The Nutcracker, The Secret Garden, The Sea Princess, and the upcoming original production of Noahs Ark. Hogan also enjoys singing and is involved in theatre. He has performed in local shows such as The Music Man (Cabrillo), The Sound of Music, Pepitos Story (Debbie Allens Dance Academy), and 7th and Schwartz.
