Here is the much anticipated Vol.2 covering Andre Drummond's Summer AAU circuit. Andre missed the major camp's this year, Lebron James Skills Academy and King City Classic, as he was away in Europe playing for the USA U17 team which brought home the gold yet again. That makes two straight years Andre has helped the USA developmental teams win gold. Almost immediately after returning from Europe Andre hooked back up with his AAU team CBC, Connecticut Basketball Club, and headed down to Florida for the AAU Super Showcase and The AAU National Championships. CBC would not fair well in the super showcase as they got off to a slow start and that ultimately crippled them however; once they entered nationals it was a completely different story. They blew out several teams early on including one by 40 points. They reached the semi-finals before falling to the Arkansas Wings Elite who would go on to win the National Championship. Andre returns to St. Thomas More this coming year for his junior season. Make sure to check back often as we will be covering Andre for the rest of his Hs career. he Connecticut Sun announced today it has signed former Sacramento Monarchs guard Kara Lawson to a three-year contract. This is a great signing for us, Sun Vice President and General Manager Chris Sienko said Tuesday of Lawson, an unrestricted free agent who spent seven seasons with Sacramento. Kara is the kind of accomplished veteran you always find on the roster of successful teams in any sport. She can do so many things well, and she has so much experience playing in big games. She has won a WNBA title with Sacramento, a gold medal in the Olympics, and she will play a key role for the Connecticut Sun. Connecticut has also re-signed Anete Jekabsone-Zogota to a two-year deal.
