The concept of left and right, communist and facist, Democrat and Republican are distractions. There are two forms of government -- oligarchs and constitutional republics, usually referred to as republics. Most Americans don't even realize what kind of government is the United States. In fact, the media perpetuates the falsehood by consistently referring to the United States as a democracy. Not only is the United States not a democracy, but there is actually no such thing as a democracy. Democracies are, by definition, oligarchs. Oligarchs are ruled by a privileged elite who victimize the people of the state through manipulation, lies, and pseudo-issues in order to distract the people from the illegal and evil affairs in which the privileged elite engage. On October 16, 2008, Robert Baer, who was a CIA Case Officer in the Middle East over the course of almost two decades, participated in a discussion at the Hammer Museum entitled "A Third War: The Threat of War with Iran." Dr. Trita Parsi was part of the discussion which was moderated by Ian Masters. Baer was briefly interrupted during the discussion by Jeremy Rothe-Kushel for clarity's sake, after he brought up 9/11 and reaffirmed his recently aired belief that Osama bin Laden is likely dead. That part went something like this- Bob: The chances of Bin Laden being dead are very high. The question is are they going to drag him out in the next two weeks. Is he going to [laughter] out of cold storage and say "we finally got him." I don't know that he's dead, but he probably is. Jeremy: But he didn't do 9/11 though. Bob: Well, let's put it this way, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind... Jeremy: No. Bob: ...said he wasn't working for Bin Laden, so... On March 5, 2008 I brought the attention of the Counstitutional Court to two legal issues. According to the Article 78.1 of the Electoral Code, the Prime Minister might only in one case be registered as candidate for the President, that is: if he would have a status of Acting President. As Serj Sargsyan did not hold this status, his registration was illegal (contradicts to the Law). According to the Article 53.1 of the Constitution of RA "during the martial law or state of emergency no elections of the President of the Republic are held". "Presidential elections" means the whole election process, beginning from the nomination up to the end of the timeline for the appeals, ie the verdict of the Counstitutional Court. As the sessions of the Constitutional Court have been held under such conditions, elections cannot be considered as legitimate and valid. The representative of the respondent side in the Court Davit Harutyunyan presented his objections to the issues I raised. Thus, the Constitutional Court possessed the views of both sides: applicant and respondent, on the Article 78.1 of the Electoral Code and Article 53.1 of the Constitution of RA. Therefore the Court was obliged to give its evaluation of the views presented by them and come up with a conclusion: something that surprisingly did not happen.
