February 5, 2010 It was an honor performing at Northside Prep's Annual Dance Showcase! There were great performances filled with an awesome audience! Thank you all who came out and supported us! It was also an honor sharing the stage with CODA, Hypnotik, and other performers. It's been a tough month for us! Practice days were hard to come by due to our personal lives and school. Practice places were also hard to come by, we usually practice in my (Daniel's) basement. We were fortunate to be able to use St. Ben's dance room and KRCC several times. Thank you Mr. Cassat and Karn for giving up your time to help us! The NIGHT before our performance one of our main dancers (Michael Nguyen) sprained his ankle playing volleyball. Since he was in all the dances, we had to reorganize the positions several hours before we performed. We're all glad and satisfied on how it turned out! Michael still came out during the tutting part and did great! We would all agree our performance would have turned out a lot better if Michael was able to perform with us. We entitled out performance "Movement" for several reasons. The songs we chose represented movement, such as, Jerking("iRock Skinnies"), "Rock That Body", "Crawl", etc. It also represents movement throughout one's life. Before Quest Crew came out, they picked out about 6 people from the audience to compete against each other and dance. I didn't put up the part who won, but both of the guys did. (Daniel Jerome & Isiah Munoz ps i'm not a stalker ;]) So when Quest Crew were performing their dances, the music stopped for some reason. So they just decided to mess around with the audience. ;) Also, the bad recording was NOT because of me, it was because everyone BEHIND me went very wild and I almost freakin' fell over on my face. You can't see it in the video but security and the tour crew were holding everyone back. So I was being squeezed between the arms of the crew and people behind me. Lols, thus the bad recording. August 15, 2009 We made a performance for the First Vietnamese United Methodist Church's First Benefit Concert. It is "basically a concert that contains performers singing, dancing, and rapping to anything inspirational.The event is a fundraiser donating to Nothing But Nets where Mothers,Fathers and children can decrease the chances of catching Malaria by one net costing only 10 dollars." We titled our performance "INspiration" (hence our last song) because we want to inspire everyone to help/love their community, and everything they do..even if it's not dancing. Live life to the fullest every single day, spreading the love. We are also inspired by everyone and other dance crews around the world. It's a bit messy/sloppy but i know we all worked hard and tried the best as we could with all the hardships we faced through this learning process.
