Assalamu 'alaikum ~ peace be upon you. Qur'an Chapter 33 Verse 56. In the Name of Allâh, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. Allâh sends His Salât (Graces, Honours, Blessings, Mercy, etc.) on the Prophet (Muhammad sal Allahu 'alaihi wasallam) and also His angels too (ask Allâh to bless and forgive him). O you who believe! Send your Salât on (ask Allâh to bless) him (Muhammad sal Allahu 'alaihi wasallam), and (you should) greet (salute) him with the Islâmic way of greeting (salutation ie AsSalâmu 'Alaikum). ❤`Abdullah bin `Amr bin Al-`As (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu 'alaihi wasallam) saying: "Whoever supplicates Allah to exalt my mention, Allah will exalt his mention ten times.'' [Muslim]. Commentary: Recitation of Salat upon the Prophet (sal Allahu 'alaihi wasallam) means the recitation of benediction. Such as the one recited in Salat "O Allah, have mercy on Muhammad...)'' It is a prayer for mercy and exaltation of the Prophet (sal Allahu 'alaihi wasallam) which is highly meritorious. (At-Tirmidhi, Hadith Hasan). ❤Abu Mas`ud Al-Badri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: We were sitting in the company of Sa`d bin `Ubadah (May Allah be pleased with him), when the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu 'alaihi wasallam) came to us.
